These Saturday readings are (not usually) bearing in on any one thing or event in my life, as the question used is asking for a more general outlook. This is a self care exercise, and is not meant as a predictive reading… although that, too, happens on occasion.
The question is… What do I need to focus for self-care through the week ahead?
Earth – Four of Lotuses – Celebrate your love of hearth and home. Use this week to reconnect with those places and people that feel most like “home” to you. You will feel better for having done so, and so will they.
Air – Amitabha: The Buddha of Lotuses – Reconnect with deeply held values as you make decisions this week. You have the opportunity to share those values with others in meaningful ways by simply leading by example.
Water – Two of Varjas / Dharmachakra Mudra – Make sure when debating with others this week that you are not bringing your emotions into the equation. This isn’t a power struggle, it’s an attempt to find truth, and everyone’s perspective needs to be taken into account and respected.
Fire – The Invalid / The Suffering Man – Step back from protestations and other arguments that will get no one anywhere. Now is a time to connect and observe. Treat the problems that rise this week with empathy instead of ferocity.
Waning – Man and Woman – Polarization is not your friend this week. Balance is a much better option than trying to chameleon yourself into a situation by being more or less aggressive. Focus on the middle road instead of the push and pull to choose sides.
Waxing – Key and Fox – Listen and take time to process and percolate before taking action. Strategy is the key to success in the week ahead. Be clever.
Take Away – There may be a few debates along the way this week, but stay true to the idea that wisdom comes from observation and understanding rather than trying to get your own way through force. Instead of worrying about these moments of possible conflict, focus on connection and fostering a feeling of “home” wherever you go.

Here and Now I Exist – Who you are now, in your entirety.
Kiwi – You are poised on the cusp of letting go of what’s no longer serving you, you’re just feeling particularly shy and timid about it as yet. Still, the opportunity and potential is right there for you to reach out to, waiting for you take a leap.
The Slough – What is to be left in the past as you move forward.
Wild Turkey – Stop trying so hard to focus on finding balance, and instead let it find itself. It’ll do it on its own without your help. Instead, focus on where you want things to go and what you want out of life. Everything else will fall into place.
What Lies Ahead – An ideal state or ideal self you are seeking at this time.
Your Bird – You want to enjoy life more than you are currently, and seek to allow more of your life to be tailored to the things you enjoy and want to experience.
Limitations – Negative influences, opposition, or ill will.
Inca Dove – You are selling yourself short. Work harder to stop listening to that negative inner voice that keeps telling you you’re nothing special.
The Boon – Positive influences, higher guidance, or divine intervention.
Sandhill Crane – You have an extensive and varied amount of knowledge and experience to help support you on your journey. Using this knowledge and experience in your efforts and pursuits is like using “cheat codes” in a video game. It gives you a leg up and allows you to work smarter instead of harder.
The Wound – An unpleasant past experience or event that is ripe for some support and healing.
Turkey Vulture – You still feel some resentment over what happened a few summers ago, and sometimes feel like you are still trapped in that cycle even though life has continued on. It’s time to do some work and reflection on those lingering feelings of resentment, and how you might be able to let them go so you can perceive the present situation with more clarity instead of through the lens of that past experience.
Nostalgia – A positive past experience or event to acknowledge, reflect upon, and enjoy.
Double-crested Cormorant – Stepping into a spiritual path you tailor just for you takes independence and courage, as well as an unerring focus on your own needs and beliefs. Take some time to reconnect with the intrepid soul of the youth that began this journey in the first place.

Message from the Spirit World – Sometimes the benefits of leaning on others to help you go beyond just the help that’s given and the time and energy saved. Sometimes you get to learn new things from them, and other times teach them new things as well.
Message from the Mind’s World – If you hesitate too long, opportunity will pass you by. In the choice between action and inaction, moving toward what you want out of life is always the right answer.
Message from the Physical World – There is more to your spiritual path than thoughts and intentions. Let yourself get outside and into nature more, and as a result the muck of stagnancy will give way to flashes of inspiration. Work on the farm just isn’t cutting it where this need is concerned.

The question is… What do I need to focus for self-care through the week ahead?
Earth – Three of Cups – Remember that at this time in my life your stability is found in spending time with others. Take care not to fall into habits that draw you back into seclusion and stagnation now that your trip is over and you’re back home again.
Air – The Hanged Man – Reserved is the name of the game this week. Take care not to speak out of turn; stay silent instead. Watch closely and pay attention to what’s going on around you.
Water – Ace of Wands – Connect with what you are feeling and let it take priority. You’ve begun to lean into logic and reason more and more of late, which doesn’t assist you at all in getting in touch with your emotions. It’s time to work on realigning yourself with your learning journey where your emotions are concerned.
Fire – The Empress – Pour your passion into giving yourself what you need. Remember that this is not about languishing. Instead, this is about doing the things that light you up inside and make you feel rejuvenated.
Waning – Letter and Garden – No news is good news this week, and gossip is not your friend. Don’t bother listening to the bullshit, as there’s far more interesting things to place your attention toward.
Waxing – Coffin, Bird, Clouds – You’re going to be hearing things you don’t wanna hear this week… or rather, what you hear is not going to be easy for you to deal with on an emotional level. Focus on letting go instead of holding onto these feelings.
Take Away – There might be a bit of an upheaval in your emotions this week, and you need to make sure you feel your feelings then let them go. Don’t try to bury them or push them away, nor is there a need to try and “reason them out”. Do the things that make you feel good… even if you don’t want to do them. That means spending time with friends and family, getting outdoors, and doing those self-care activities that help rejuvenate you. Prioritize these things above other responsibilities this week.

The question is… What do I need to focus for self-care through the week ahead?
Earth – Idleness – Take care that the moments you spend in idleness are of the healthy variety. If there is something else you could be doing that would make you feel better, you should be doing that instead. Actively make choices this week to do the things that make you feel better, rather than just wallowing in how you feel now.
Air – Fire – In choosing those things that invigorate you and light you up (as suggested in the Earth position of this reading), you create a spark of life that can burn away the mental fog you’ve been experiencing and allow for greater clarity.
Water – Easy – Loosen up. It’s okay to feel your feelings, and it’s okay to let others see you feel your feelings. Even when you can’t explain them or fully understand these emotions yourself, give them room to exist without expectation or requirements.
Fire – The Earth – Practicality is required this week. No pie in the sky expectations allowed.
Waning – Heart and Rider – Remember that allowing your emotions to show is not the same thing as wearing on them on your sleeve for other people to take advantage of. Neither does just allowing yourself to feel your feelings mean that you have to surrender yourself to their control.
Waxing – Sun and Mountain – Use hope and optimism to scale mountains and overcome obstacles. Difficulties are easier to deal with when you confront them from a place of hope and optimism rather than pessimistic dissent.
Take Away – It’s time to get a handle on the languishing habit that you’ve developed. Make choices that lead to feeling better, because what you’re feeling now might be comfortable but isn’t particularly good. Allow your emotions to have a bit of space to just -be- this week, and keep expectations in check.

The question is… What do I need to focus for self-care through the week ahead?
Earth – Four of Coins – Go ahead! Be excessively miserly this week. Now is the time. You won’t regret it later.
Air – Queen of Swords – Take care with your words and make sure that when you speak with others that what you’re saying is constructive instead of destructive. Even during times when you feel like you need to be on the defensive, your focus needs to remain on constructive communication.
Water – Six of Cups – This card is an echo back to the Card of the Day reading that you did for yourself the other day. It is a reminder that it’s important to focus on the good memories that help build trust in those in your present, instead of getting stuck dwelling upon the bad memories of events from the past that hurt you.
Fire – Strength – Sometimes a show of strength is in the lack of reaction you give, rather than snapping back right away or being reactionary.
Waning – Boötes and Venus – People are going to try and play on your emotions this week. Whether it be through love or guilt, or some other emotion to push you and motivate you into their way of thinking and get you to do what they want you to do. Make sure that you are aware of this, and pause before you react. Acknowledge the emotions they are intentionally stirring up, but don’t let those emotions drive you.
Waxing – Pegasus and Aquila – Movement. Swift and sure. Get up, get out, do things… get some fresh air and allow yourself to breathe deep and move. Movement is the key to self-care this week, so make sure that you’re not indulging in stagnancy when you could be moving instead.
Take Away – Move, dance, get outside, and bring others with you whether they like it or not. Don’t allow them to push your buttons and get you to be reactionary this week. Instead, drag them along, kicking and screaming if you need to, in order to have them with you as you get outside and enjoy the refreshed energies of Spring and revitalization of fresh air that Spring brings with it. Make happy memories.

Earth – Two of Pentacles – You just got called out for your cards in another reading done today for always having to be in control of every little thing. Remember that sometimes control isn’t the answer, but instead of going with the flow is the best way to keep your balance.
Air – Seven of Wands – Keep your priorities, values, and principles in focus this week. You may feel like they’re coming under attack, and maybe they are. Just remember that standing strong with your values needs to be your main focus this week. Even if it feels like the entire world is against you.
Water – Knight of Cups – Allow yourself to have those things that you want and enjoy. Too often you withhold from yourself those things that you most enjoy. Consider indulging this week, and it will be a nurturing balm for your emotions.
Fire – The Chariot – Do it, and do it now. Procrastination is not your friend in the week ahead. If things need to be done, make sure they’re getting done. In doing this you exerting control over the direction things go in moving forward. This is where you need to focus your need for control this week.
Waning – Letter and Bouquet – That good news that’s incoming this week is not the good news that it appears to be at first glance. Make sure that you read the fine print instead of just accepting it openly as the gift it’s being presented as.
Waxing – Dog and Coffin – Remember that not all acquaintances can be a loyal friends. It’s okay to let people go when they break your trust or it feels like they are not loyal to you in a way that you need. Embrace releasing these people back to the universe to find their “better fit”.
Take Away – This week is all about redirecting your need for control over everything to a specific task. That task being not allowing your procrastination to take the lead and not fighting against the currents carrying you forward. Focus on what’s right for you, whether that’s activities or choices or the people you allow to take up your time and share space in your life. Take care to spot the fake flowers and weed them out instead of allowing them to crowd out new growth.
