Sprouting and Growth

Today’s meditation was skipped.

Riderless Tarot - Page of WandsToday’s draw is the Page of Wands, which is traditionally a representation of a receptive omega energy, personality, or person in the area of one’s willpower, drive, passions, motivation, priorities, values, and principles. This often translates into those that are beginning on a passion project and learning what is needed to start such a journey.

One of the things I love most about the traditional imagery of the Page of Wands is the sprouting leaves on the wand, which is something that was carried over into this deck.  I love the theme of newness and growth that these leaves represent.

With the theme of those leaves in mind, the message in today’s card is about focusing on your growth and not taking it for granted.  Leaves sprout from healthy plants, so when you take care of yourself you sprout leaves… you grow… and you have the energy to explore.

Questions for August 16th thru 18th

Pussy Cat Tarot - Two of Swords, Knight of Cups, Ten of Swords, Two of PentaclesWhat empowering knowledge can I find within my own shadows?

Ten of Swords atop Two of Pentacles – All things come back into balance eventually. It is the nature of the universe. Sometimes hardship is what is needed in order to make that happen.

In what way can embracing my shadows in order to let my darkness help me?

Knight of Cups – Stay focused on what you want and your darkness will lead you there. Sort of like when you’re driving, you steer where you are looking whether you mean to or not. Do you look at the tree or do you look at the road?

How can my shadows serve me as a catalyst of my strength(s)?

Two of Swords – Take the lessons learned as a way to make better decisions in the future. Otherwise the knowledge that your shadow has for you is useless.

Riderless Tarot - Six of Swords and The HierophantWhat do I love about me?

Six of Swords – My ability to know what’s right for me, and what isn’t, and the independence that is needed to make decisions for myself to improve my situation instead of putting up with what isn’t working.

How can I be more kind to myself?

The Hierophant – Continue on a path of learning in this area and don’t let pressures in the background push you in directions that aren’t right for you. Seek out those traditional ways of self care that are tried and true and you know will work.

Inner Truths

Today’s meditation was skipped.

Soul Cards - Queen of WandsToday’s draw is the Queen of Wands, which is traditionally a representation of a receptive alpha energy, personality, or person in the area of one’s passion, drive, willpower, determination, values, and principles. This often translates into themes that have to do with being supportive of others projects and passions, or searching for inner truth within your own values and principles.

I see both themes in the imagery of this card, but I very much see a need for inner work in the tilt of the head and the hand over the heart.   Today’s card is a reminder to pause and get in touch with that inner truth that resides within us all, and in doing so stay true to ourselves and what is of greatest importance to each of us.

Questions for August 4th and 5th

The Riderless TarotWhat inner injury from my childhood needs healing?

The Chariot atop Page of Swords – There were a lot of instances when you were growing up where new ideas had to be rushed or were taken over by someone else rather than allowing you to explore them yourself.

How can I begin working on healing that injury?

Nine of Cups atop Six of Wands Rx – Remember that you are now in a place in your life where you can please yourself, and don’t have to worry so much about pleasing others anymore.

Soul Cards Tarot ReadingWhat dormant magic or strength am I invited to honor and embrace?

Seven of Wands and Ten of Swords – You haven’t needed to stand up for your principles and values of late, but don’t forget that you are able to do so with a devastating affect to others if you’re not careful in your approach and vehemence.

How should I begin to honor the magic of the strengths that reside within me?

Five of Pentacles atop Seven of Swords – Recognize that your feelings of scarcity are not always your own fault. There is too much self-blame going on, and this drags you down and pulls your focus away from working on solutions.

How can I best use the magic around me to enchant my everyday journey?

The World Rx – Live in the now instead of focusing so intently on where you’re going and how you are going to get there.
