❤️ Self Care Saturday (On a Sunday)

These Saturday readings are (not usually) bearing in on any one thing or event in my life, as the question used is asking for a more general outlook. This is a self care exercise, and is not meant as a predictive reading… although that, too, happens on occasion.

The question is… What do I need to focus for self-care through the week ahead?

Pussy Cat Tarot and Calihuni's Lenormand

EarthThe Devil – There is a warning here that there is shit coming up that you’re going to need to pay for. Unexpected shit. Cut back on your spending in order to begin preparing for what’s coming. It’s okay to treat yourself, just be extra careful to be responsible about it.

AirTen of Cups – happiness is a valid reason for doing something. Don’t let your inner narrative end up picking on you for making choices that make you happy. Stretch into the happiness instead.

WaterTwo of Wands Rx – Don’t let circumstances make you feel trapped this week. Instead, take a minute to really look over your options and make a plan. Emotionally speaking, you will feel much better with a plan in place rather than backed into a corner or hindered by avoidable blockages.

FireTwo of Pentacles – Take care not to get so wrapped up in one thing that you begin neglecting another this week. This pattern has been surfacing a lot lately, and you need to get a handle on it before it gets out of control.

WaningThe Masculine and The Lily – Set aside tried and true methods this week and do a little bit of exploration and experimentation instead.

WaxingThe Fox and The Mountain – Be clever concerning obstacles and roadblocks in your way this week. There are ways to overcome these issues that arise, but you’re going to have to take a moment to be smart about it and think outside the box.

No Question Without Quest

Today’s meditation was skipped.

Pussy Cat Tarot - Queen of SwordsToday’s draw is the Queen of Swords, which is traditionally a representation of a receptive alpha energy, personality, or person in the area of one’s thoughts, logic, intellect, education, strategy, ambition, and communication.

Combined with the quote on the back of the card as well as the imagery of the cat with the glowing eyes and a sword through the head, I see a message about moderation in today’s card.

What I see here is a reminder that it’s just as easy to inspire others to your cause as it is to do everything yourself.  Spark the interest of others and draw them in to help you in your efforts.  Make it an adventure they will all want to be a part of.

Daily Self Kindness

I pulled the rest of August’s decks from the shelves rather than picking out decks to use from day to day. The other way just wasn’t working for me and was making getting my personal readings done a difficulty.

Sprouting and Growth

Today’s meditation was skipped.

Riderless Tarot - Page of WandsToday’s draw is the Page of Wands, which is traditionally a representation of a receptive omega energy, personality, or person in the area of one’s willpower, drive, passions, motivation, priorities, values, and principles. This often translates into those that are beginning on a passion project and learning what is needed to start such a journey.

One of the things I love most about the traditional imagery of the Page of Wands is the sprouting leaves on the wand, which is something that was carried over into this deck.  I love the theme of newness and growth that these leaves represent.

With the theme of those leaves in mind, the message in today’s card is about focusing on your growth and not taking it for granted.  Leaves sprout from healthy plants, so when you take care of yourself you sprout leaves… you grow… and you have the energy to explore.

Questions for August 16th thru 18th

Pussy Cat Tarot - Two of Swords, Knight of Cups, Ten of Swords, Two of PentaclesWhat empowering knowledge can I find within my own shadows?

Ten of Swords atop Two of Pentacles – All things come back into balance eventually. It is the nature of the universe. Sometimes hardship is what is needed in order to make that happen.

In what way can embracing my shadows in order to let my darkness help me?

Knight of Cups – Stay focused on what you want and your darkness will lead you there. Sort of like when you’re driving, you steer where you are looking whether you mean to or not. Do you look at the tree or do you look at the road?

How can my shadows serve me as a catalyst of my strength(s)?

Two of Swords – Take the lessons learned as a way to make better decisions in the future. Otherwise the knowledge that your shadow has for you is useless.

Questions for August 13th and 14th

Riderless Tarot - Six of Swords and The HierophantWhat do I love about me?

Six of Swords – My ability to know what’s right for me, and what isn’t, and the independence that is needed to make decisions for myself to improve my situation instead of putting up with what isn’t working.

How can I be more kind to myself?

The Hierophant – Continue on a path of learning in this area and don’t let pressures in the background push you in directions that aren’t right for you. Seek out those traditional ways of self care that are tried and true and you know will work.

Daily Self Kindness

I am playing some serious catch up and I have no idea what the self-kindness for this day might have been.
