That Itch

Why
does it always
seem
that the itch
I want to scratch
is just
out of reach
when
I’m wanting
to scratch it
so damned bad?

break above
a blanket of white

and land

Wrong Way

It made me laugh
and I had to share

For my front door

it points
the wrong way
the good candy
next door
is to the left
with Snickers
and Butterfingers
