The Potential For Beauty

Today’s meditation was skipped.

Okami Tarot - The TowerToday’s draw is the Tower card, which is traditionally a representation of sudden, chaotic change. The appearance of the Tower card indicates the need to tear down established structures so that something new can take its place.

In the imagery of the Tower in this deck, I very much see that “rebuilding” potential, for as the volcano explodes in the background, destroying the island in the process, it sends seeds and spoors into the air to be carried by the wind, giving the life that once lived on the island a chance to rebuild in fertile soil elsewhere.

Like most people, I struggle with this type of change. It’s not so much the change itself as it is the fact that it is sudden and chaotic.  There’s no chance to prepare.  You just have to hold on for the ride and let it play itself out, then pick up the pieces after.

The beauty in this card reminds me that that chaos is not the end. There are better things to come if I’m willing to let them grow from the ashes and do the work to rebuild in the aftermath.

What comes after could be beautiful.

Questions for June 22nd

Wisdom of Hafiz OracleI can now…

Bottom Left Cards – …begin to trust myself more and accept myself as a whole instead of in pieces. The prompts lately have allowed me to look at this theme in a different way, giving me a greater perspective to work with than the one I began with at the beginning of the month.

And this helps…

Top Right Cards – … life in feeling lighter and brighter, giving me a greater perspective of appreciation and gratitude.

Questions for June 22nd thru 24th

Okami TarotHow can I best embody the manifestation of my Solstice intentions?

Five of Glaives (Swords) – Fight for them. Anything worth having is worth working for.

How am I asked to nurture, or tend to, my flame in support my Solstice plans?

Seven of Rosaries (Coins) – Be understanding with the fact that things take time. Immediate gratification may be satisfying, but those things that you work towards overtime and accomplish are worth a great deal more.

What should I keep in mind, or what can I do, if my flame grows weaker, or when my path meets resistance?

The Emperor – Seize control and stay focused. Claim your goals as yours and direct your resources towards them regardless. Be stubborn.

Where, or in what area, am I guided (by Lilith) to be (more) assertive or to be (more) independent?

Nine of Brushes (Wands) – Boundaries are extremely important. They give your life structure and create structure and a sense of stability for others in your life. Make sure that you are clear in the boundaries you set not just for others, but for yourself as well.

Daily Self Kindness

I’ve been working on getting some of the vacation orders done to make sure that I’m not overwhelmed tomorrow (which is orders day).

Lingering Near Shore

Today’s meditation was skipped.

Beautiful Korea Tarot - Six of SwordsToday’s draw is the Six of Swords, which is traditionally a representation of moving on, leaving behind difficulty for something better, and letting go.

Unlike the Eight of Cups, which has a similar theme, but with an emotional aspect involved, in the Swords suit, this theme is about strategy and logic. It’s about finding a better path for who you are and what you want, and leaving behind struggle and hardship in the process.

Today’s card is an encouragement to get going on changing the things I need to change in my life. It’s June now, and the projects I had planned for the spring and summer are all still in the beginning stages. It’s time to move into what’s to come instead of lingering near the shore I came from.

Questions for June 2nd and 3rd

Okami Tarot and Flower Message Oracle 1 & 2I will allow myself to…

Wheel of Fortune and Primrose – …more smoothly bend under the ups and downs of life. Resistance is not serving, and thus it would be better to find a way to go with the flow instead.

By…

The Hierophant atop Ace of Wands, Mulan Magnolia – … learning to accept what I cannot change. Fighting against the changes that come with those ups and downs does no one any good.

I have the power to…

The Fool, Plum Blossom atop Wish – …let my inner child have more space to breathe and experience things.

Because…

Seven of Cups and Camellia – …kindness, including self-kindness, is a choice. If I want to instill more fun and carefree play into my life, I can do so… and it will be very good for me if I do.  I just have to make the choice.

Seek Light Tarot Spread with the Beautiful Korea Tarot

What steps could I take toward improving myself, my life or something I struggle with?

Stop ignoring the problem (Eight of Swords Rx), and fight (Five of Swords) to get yourself back on track (The World).

This is about stagnancy, and the fact that I’m dawdling on the edge of depression’s pit instead of continuing to grapple, scramble, and fight my way free of it entirely.

In what area should I be kinder to myself, focus on the good, or treat myself better?

The Sun and Ace of Swords – You’re allowed to have fun, and you need to start looking at play time as a good thing instead of a waste of time.

What personal traits, or strengths, can help me attract the good I want {to manifest} for myself?

Knight of Rods atop Eight of Pentacles – You are skilled and passionate about your work. Use that to your advantage. I love your strengths in this area to lift you up and your passion to provide you with extra drive and motivation.
