Transitioning from November to December

Month End Tarot Reading - Somnia Tarot and Jeremy Miranda Oracle Cards

Here and Now I Exist – Who you are now, in your entirety.

The Moon atop Four of Coins – Waffling between stability and uncertainty. Feeling trapped.

The Slough – What is to be left in the past as you move forward.

The Heirophant – Right now you need to focus on you. You can’t help or guide others when you are depleted. It’s okay to close the door sometimes.

What Lies Ahead – An ideal state or ideal self you are seeking at this time.

Ace of Wands atop The Tower – Helping Ms B find new purpose after her loss. Helping her get organized and settled so that she can start off on the right foot.

Limitations – Negative influences, opposition, or ill will.

Ace of Cups atop Three of Coins – Take care in who is allowed to help. Ensure that your guard is kept up concerning those coming out of the woodwork at this time to offer their assistance in an effort to insert themselves and establish a connection.

The Boon – Positive influences, higher guidance, or divine intervention.

Page of Swords – Stay hopeful as you keep your eye on what lies ahead and learn to navigate your way through this experience.

The Wound – An unpleasant past experience or event that is ripe for some support and healing.

The Empress atop Six of Coins – You know just how painful backstabbing can be. You have experienced it before in the guise of nurturing kindness from others that in an instant turned to something painful and ugly.

Nostalgia – A positive past experience or event to acknowledge, reflect upon, and enjoy.

The Chariot – The little black woo woo. (Yes, this is code for an unforgettable memory I’m not going to share publicly.)

A Warning – Something coming that can be prevented or overcome.

King of Cups – Make sure you mend things with Gideon. He’s feeling alone and adrift, and that can quickly turn into resentment.

Empowerment – A future opportunity to work toward.

Justice – Balancing the scales will require looking beneath the surface and digging deep. Be thorough.

Side Note:  Skipping the second half of this reading, as there’s just not time to go through it all. I’ll return to the full reading next month.

Don’t Be a Shit

Today’s meditation was just about ten minutes long, and was an unguided meditation of just my breathing exercises and piriformis stretches.

Rider Waite Smith Tarot and How to Be a Wildflower DeckToday’s draw is the Wheel of Fortune, which is traditionally a representation of the ups and downs of life. We all have good times and bad, and the Wheel of Fortune is an indication that a shift is coming that needs our attention.

I see the Wheel of Fortune not as a harbringer of bad luck, or a promise of better luck, but rather a reminder that when things change, we need to make sure we are prepared and on good footing.  Even if “prepared” simply means that we know that some sort of shift is coming and not what that might be.

Combined with the affirmation card today, the message that literally shouted itself out to me when I saw these cards is, “Just because there are shitty times doesn’t mean that you have to be a shit.”  It has to do with not just the joy that the card speaks of or the Wheel of Fortune, but also the blue jay and how they are cunning thieves and bullies much of the time, and yet… also beautiful.

Questions for November 28th

R Black TarotSomething about myself that I haven’t fully accepted?
The Tower and Eight of Swords

When things start to fall to shit, you spend too long dissociating and trying to ignore the problem instead of tackling it head on.

What can embracing myself in this area do for me?
Daughter of Swords and Ten of Pentacles

It will allow you to confront things more directly from a place of stability instead of uncertainty. This gives you a stronger foundation to work from so that you don’t feel so vulnerable and threatened.

Daily Self Kindness

Playing catch up from over a week ago.  I just don’t remember.

Self Care Saturday (On a Sunday)

These Saturday readings are (not usually) bearing in on any one thing or event in my life, as the question used is asking for a more general outlook. This is a self care exercise, and is not meant as a predictive reading… although that, too, happens on occasion.

The question is… What do I need to focus for self-care through the week ahead?

Ostara Tarot, Crystal Forests Oracle, Power Animals Oracle

Side Note – There is a noticeable color flow in these cards that runs from hot and fiery on the left to cool and calm on the right. This speaks of its own progression and transition as the week progresses.

Earth – The Magician and Red Jasper / Empowerment – You’ve got this. You have everything you need (including time) to get done all that needs accomplished this week with your business and manifestations. Touch that fire within and let it burn away any lingering sluggishness.

AirStrength and Blue Apatite / Trust – You are loved and trusted, and have the ability to use that trust to help those around you make good choices. Don’t forget that this power is a precious gift.

WaterTen of Wands and Wulfenite / Amplification – You are emotionally overwhelmed. The death last week has amplified emotional struggles you’ve been having and you are struggling to carry them instead of shutting down.

FireThe Sun and Blue Goldstone / Authenticity – You can use your emotions to sink deeper into your work, to take joy in the process and put yourself more intrinsically into the pieces you make.  Funnel some of that part of who you are and how you feel into the pieces and turn those emotions into something beautiful.

WaningFox – Emotions are going to be far more difficult to hide this week. You are trying to wait until you are home and caught up on orders, but cracks in your armor are starting to show.

WaxingSalmon – Let the emotions out and deal with them.

Take Away – Most of this weekend’s reading is about making sure I’m processing my emotions or doing something with them in some way instead of trying to either close them away or letting them stagnate and fester.

Coming Home

Today’s meditation was a little under ten minutes long, and was unguided. Just me and my breathing exercises and my piriformis stretches.

Blood Moon Tarot and How to Be a Wildflower DeckToday’s draw is the Four of Skins (Wands) which is traditionally a representation of the welcoming comfort of home and the celebratory spirit of homecoming.

In the imagery of today’s card, we see that theme expressed between two people. There is a warmth to this image that expresses not just happiness but a deep connection and sense of reunion.

You know that phrase “home is where the heart is”? Combined with the affirmation card for today, the message that I see in these cards is that just as homes come in all shapes and sizes, people, pets, and places… so too do homecomings, and that it’s important to appreciate those things that feel like “home” as well as the feelings of celebratory comfort and relief that come when returning to them.

Questions for November 27th

Power Animals Oracle and The Rider Waite Smith TarotWhere is darkness clouding my life?

Spider and Four of Wands – I am worried about Ms B and her future. About where she will go when she sells that big ass house, and how she is going to settle into single life.

How can I move past this darkness?

Frog and Judgement – Let go of the things you can’t do for her, and instead focus on what you can.

Question for November 16th & 17th

Blood Moon TarotIn what way does fear affect my reactions to others?

Six of Honey (Pentacles) and Four of Songs (Cups) – I stay distant and withdrawn because, when I am feeling depleted, I don’t want to share what’s left of my energy with others.

In what way does anger affect my reactions to others?

Queen of Dreams (Swords) and Justice – When I am angry I turn cold and hard, and feel the need for retribution. The universe may balance things out but I want to be there when it happens so that I can “speak” the words that will rub salt in the wounds.

Hopes and Dreams

Today’s meditation was less than ten minutes, but I did manage to do just a bit when I first woke up.

Terra Volatile and How to Be a Wildflower DeckToday’s draw is the Ten of Cups, which is traditionally a representation of emotional satiation. This goes beyond the solitary satisfaction we see in the Nine of Cups and speaks, instead, of an emotional completion that is both healthy and includes others. This card is very often referred to as the “happy family” card.

The couple in the imagery of today’s cards are not destitute, but neither are they wealthy. The man is depicted describing to the woman the beautiful and happy life they could have together, and they are both wrapped up in this visage.

In the affirmation card, there is then a reminder that dreams are important. Not the dreams you reap during REM sleep, but the kind that involves hopes and goals for the future.

The message here in todays cards is a reminder to look forward with hope and optimism, for it is through these sentiments we find the building blocks that will eventually take us there.

Questions for November 26th

Mystic Mushrooms Oracle and Hush TarotWhere or how can my passions help me grow in life?
Pearl Oyster (Pleurotus Ostreatus) and Queen of Pentacles

Blending your spirituality with your passions will breathe nurturing new life into both.

Also, make sure you are giving back to those that support and nurture you. Gideon is adrift without you, as you are the nutrients in his soil.

How can I start applying this to what I love today?
Graceful Bolete (Austroboletus Gracilis) and The Wheel

This is something you need to consciously choose to take action on, no matter your mood or how you are feeling, rain or shine.

It is your discomfort with your emotions that is causing you to hedge, procrastinate, and avoid.

Terra VolatileAdvice I need to hear at this time concerning my family relations.

Two of Swords and Six of Coins – Choose generosity. Be kind even when your first reaction and instinct is to slap back. Instead, take a moments pause and a breath, then in that moment of balance, choose to be better.

Cleanse ThisThe Hermit and King of Cups – Gideon needs your time and attention. Don’t leave him all alone in the dark.

Ground ThisSeven of Wands and Four of Coins – You can’t both spend and save. It doesn’t work.

Spiritual Check-Up Tarot Reading

Spiritual Check-Up Tarot Reading - The Hush Tarot

What is my social well-being like right now?

Seven of Cups Rx – I want to step away instead of dealing with it or making choices. I’m not particularly social to begin with, which is not helping this reaction as all I want to do is retreat.

What is my emotional well-being like right now?

Five of Pentacles – Scarcity and loss. This answer is not surprising considering that I’m dealing with the loss of a loved one at this time. He’s gone and… there is so much that I have lost with his passing. So much that will be missing going forward.

What weakens my spirit?

The Tower – Knowing something will feel unmanageable, and thus can be chaotic. This feeling of helplessness creates a weakening of spirit for me.

What can I do to support my spirit?

Three of Cups – Be open with others instead of shutting down. A burden shared is a burden halved, and all that. Work on allowing others to uplift my spirits instead of wallowing in sadness is an important part of this process.

What can others do to support my spirit?

King of Wands – Letting others help me in getting done what needs done allows them to support my spirit and gives them a clear and easy path to helping me in getting through this time of loss.

What strengthens my spirit?

Queen of Pentacles – The need (and ability) to support others in a physical manner. To feed them, provide for them, and give them stability to grow from.
