Lucine Tarot Midnight EditionToday’s draw is the Lovers card, which is traditionally a representation of love and relationships, harmonious unions, and making choices that are geared toward what is best for you.

In this card birds fly together through a portal, both singing of love as they soar.  The imagery here speaks of harmony to me. The harmony one finds in love.

I forget sometimes how lucky I am to have found someone in my life to love so deeply. How magical the fact is that we found each other, and how aligned we are in so many things that matter.

Maybe it is human nature to take the day-to-day for granted, no matter how miraculous it is, but today’s card is a reminder of just how good love is.  Just how good I have it in my relationship with Gideon, and how very well we connect on so many levels.

Prioritize who you want to become over the fleeting passions of the moment. Putting too many pans in the fire at once will be a distraction.  Better to use some discernment and keep your eye on where you want to go and what you want to become than let those more temporary pursuits pull you off track.

What else/more can I do to support my best self this year?
Eight of Pentacles and Four of Wands

Put in the work to make your home happier and more comfortable.  The project to get shelves into your living space is a big one that is multi-faceted and going to take some time to accomplish.  Take things one step at a time and put in the work needed to get things just how you want them to be.  You’ll be happier in the end once it’s done.

Today’s meditation was skipped.

Wandering Spirit TarotToday’s draw is the Seven of Swords, which is traditionally a representation of getting away with something, themes of betrayal and deception, as well as taking only what you can carry.

It’s this last meaning that I see in today’s card.  The skeleton sneaks off into the night with arms full of swords, but is he watching where he’s going?  No… he’s looking back at those left behind with longing.

The message in today’s card is a reminder not to look back with longing on what you have left behind, you have more than enough to keep you busy.

Remember that they are them, and you are you. It does not have to be a melting pot of energy all the time, and you have the ability to possess your own energy and not let it mix with others.

From this more detached perspective, you will take what you see as their distastefulness with a less biased view, and thus find it easier to accept them as they are.

Tarot des ArtcanesToday’s draw is the Seven of Clubs, which is traditionally a representation of fighting for one’s principles, standing up for what you believe in, challenges, and perseverance.

Staying afloat in the storm of other’s expectations and demands can often be a struggle.  Often, it can feel like just giving up or giving in is the better answer or only choice.  The thing is?  When we do this, it takes us not just off course, but off our own path entirely and onto another.

Better to fight to stay afloat in your own ethics and principles, than allow life or people to bully you into taking a different stance than the one you know to be right for you.  That ship in the card’s image can’t sail underwater no matter how much the ocean or the octopus want to draw it under… and neither can you.

Question: How can I avoid falling into the depression pit this spring?

Tarot des ArtcanesReading Summary: There is a very strong connection between the Eight of Diamonds and the Seven of Clubs in the coloration within the two cards and the fact that they bracket a center card that has a completely different color scheme.

These two cards together speak of a need to open one’s eyes and keep them open and aware of what’s around you as you fight forward against what is trying to overtake you. Don’t allow the depression to sneak up on you, but instead be aware when it begins to rear up and act immediately.

They center card instills a level of uncertainty that resides within the Wheel of Fortune, and is a reminder that some things are beyond your control. Combined with the other two cards, this is an indication that you may not be able to fully circumvent the depression on its arrival, but with awareness and willingness to confront it head on instead of allowing it to continue to sneak in, you can mitigate its affects to an extent.

Take Away: The answer here is that I might not be able to fully avoid the depression, but if I stay on top of watching for it’s arrival, and deal with it immediately when it begins instead of hesitating, I can ease the intensity of the depression when it’s at its peak.

These Saturday readings are (not usually) bearing in on any one thing or event in my life, as the question used is asking for a more general outlook. This is a self care exercise, and is not meant as a predictive reading… although that, too, happens on occasion.

The question is… What do I need to focus for self-care through the week ahead?

Earth – Quattro di Bastoni and Surprise – Find the secret pleasures that reside in house and home. Also, be ready for unexpected visitors in your personal space this week.

Air – Sette di Coppe atop Re di Denari, Victory – Putting away the past isn’t as difficult as you think if you are properly grounded and determined to make it happen.

Water – Fante di Denari, Betrayal atop Choice – You may find someone you perceive as dependable doing the unexpected this week. You have a choice on if you see this aberrant behavior as a betrayal or not tho.

Fire – Re di Spade and Patience – Everything takes time, and that includes your well-established goals. Don’t let your passion and ambition turn you to impatience.

Waning – The Witch and The Waker – Step away from the new and different when it comes to your self care. Tried and true methods are what you need right now.

Waxing – The Scholar and The Hier – Stay open. Seize control of your path and allow yourself to be open to all possible potential and outcomes this week.

Take Away – Most of this feels like it’s about finding balance again, although there are a few warnings in here about visitors and the unexpected that encourage taking a pause instead of reacting immediately.  Look for the boon hiding in these unexpected moments instead of allowing your pessimism to reign.

Yarn TarotToday’s draw is the Page of Wands, which is traditionally a representation of a receptive omega energy, personality, or person in the area of one’s passions, inspirations, motivation, drive, and determination. This often translates into themes that have to do with the free spirited energy of someone discovering a new passion project and learning a new and inspired skill.

There is a reminder here to not let today just pass by without finding something to inspire you.  It is the days that are empty of inspiration that pass by without leaving a mark on your memory or your life.  Today has the potential to be one of those days.

Those with the strength to explore my passions with me as they are discovered and develop. It’s easy to extend love to those that are along for the ride and share my passions, priorities, and are lead by a similar moral compass and sense of ethics as my own.

Those that try to smother or otherwise circumvent my
personal independence. Aka… authority figure issues. I do not connect well with those that try to hold control over me, my choices, or my actions and interests. Demands are not well received, nor is strong arm tactics, ultimatums, or using one’s authority for leverage.  These things have a tendency to create an oppositional reaction in me.
