Daily Mental Health Prompt: Seek a positive message to carry with you throughout the day and offer perspective.

Today’s draw is The Lovers (The Best Friends) card, which is traditionally a representation of love and relationships, long term contracts, harmonious unions, and making choices that are geared toward what is best for you.

The card has then been combined with a card from the Lights In Dark Places deck, which says, “Love so much that there is no room left for fear.”

I like the idea that someone can love others so much that even if they were raised to be prejudice, the fear and prejudices melt away.

I know that I have it easy here where I live. You don’t see a lot of hate crimes here, nor do you see a lot of pejoratives being tossed around or prejudicial behavior out in the open. It still happens, but it’s much worse in many other places that it is here in this corner of the world.

I don’t understand these mentalities of hate, but maybe, as the message in today’s Lovers card and affirmation card suggests, connecting through love is the answer.

Helmet of Protection – The guardians and the guides that help to keep you out of trouble, healthy, and hale are who has come to visit and walk with you this year while the veil is thin. They are with you through the hard parts of life and have stepped up this season to be by your side.

Celestial Cross – They are working hard to repel those things, people, and entities in your life right now that want to tap into your energy and drain you dry.

Boots of Swiftness – Don’t just sit back and let them do all the work. Just as when you’re lost in the woods you do what you can to help others find you, so too do you need to help those who love you assist in your safety. Do your part.

Pocket Watch of Vengeance – Your Ancestors want you to let go of negative influences and motivations. Ex: using the threat of scarcity to motivate you to work harder. Motivation doesn’t have to be spurred by negative emotions. Find a healthier way.
