Alice In Wonderland Tarot - Justice

Daily Mental Health Prompt: Seek a positive message to carry with you throughout the day and offer perspective.

Today’s draw is the Justice card, which is traditionally a representation of balance, cause and effect, repercussions and consequences, give and take, and can often indicate the law or legal system.

The Justice card has then been combined with an affirmation from the Ask and It Is Given Cards, which says, “My slightest improvement is of such great value. There is tremendous value when you are able to deliberately cause even the slightest improvement in the way you feel, for even in that small emotional improvement, you may have regained a measure of control. You no longer feel powerless. And so, your trek back up the Emotional Scale is now not only possible, but it is relatively easy.”

Everything in life has a cause-and-effect to it, and that includes our emotional well-being. Mental health and emotions, when broken down into the most scientific of terms, are our brain’s relationship with the chemicals that move through it. Therefore, we are able to influence our emotions (to an extent) through manipulation of those chemicals through our actions and choices. This doesn’t mean we can fully reverse certain conditions, but it does mean that we can help turn things around onto the “right track” and let trajectory take it from there with just a little encouragement along the way.

The message in today’s Justice card and affirmation are a reminder that if we do these little things that turn sadness into happiness or improve our life or our emotions, even in just small ways, it creates an opening for better things to insert themselves into the trajectory of your emotional progress and life. In this way, we are allowed the freedom to adjust these parts of our lives in small ways to make things better for ourselves.

What does uncertainty feel like to you?

Rejuvenation Rx – Uncertainty has a tendency to create hesitation for you, which leads to you feeling bogged down and unenthusiastic. This lackluster state can have the effect of putting everything on hold and creating a feeling of stagnancy where you are unable to see the potential being offered in these moments of uncertainty.

How do times of uncertainty impact your physical body?

Magic Rx – Because uncertainty makes it difficult to spark enthusiasm in a general sense (see above), it also makes it difficult to spark the enthusiasm needed for physical activity.

Your body needs this physical activity in order to stay flexible and mobile, so these moments of uncertainty can often have a detrimental effect on your mobility by cutting back on your enthusiasm for physical activity. Less activity means reduced mobility, which then cycles back around to even less activity in a vicious cycle.

How do times of uncertainty impact your physical reality?

Meditation – Although the stagnancy involved in times of uncertainty and the hesitation you feel during those times is not particularly healthy for you, it gives you an opportunity for reflection that you would not otherwise get. These moments of quiet allow you to identify things within yourself that need your attention. This self reflecting provides awareness that you can then eventually find the motivation to act on.

What do you need to say to yourself to help you in acknowledging and alleviating your feelings of uncertainty?

Discovery – Remember that these moments of hesitation are not worthless, and that you experience them is not necessarily a bad thing. It is through these moments that you discover new things about yourself and the world around you that you otherwise wouldn’t. Therefore, try not to be too hard on yourself. These moments aren’t as useless as they first appear.

What do you need to accept about others to help you acknowledge and alleviate your feelings of uncertainty?

Strength – You do not need to shy away from asking for help. Those that love you and care about you are there for you, and all you need to do is ask. You are not being an inconvenience by giving them the opportunity to participate in your life and it struggles. Instead, they are eager to step in and lend a hand because you are a piece of their heart.

Focus on your feelings of uncertainty. Pick a color that stands out the strongest to you in the card pulled. How does this color (and how it’s used in the card) make you feel?

Love – Blue is the color of calm. Often, when we see cards that are themed after love they contain a lot of pink or red. Although this does convey those emotions, I often find that these cards lack a calming influence. For me, love needs that calming influence.

In this card, blue is used instead of pink or red, and I feel that it covers that calming influence that I don’t find in a lot of those other “love” cards. It reminds me that one of the greatest self-care gifts that I can give myself is fostering those things in my life that create calm for me, so that I can think more clearly and not be overrun by emotions that just make everything that much more difficult

Tarot Reading with the Alice In Wonderland Tarot

Reading Summary: Stop fighting the battles inspired and lead by your fears (Nine of Flowers atop Seven of Spears Rx). If you’re unwilling to be open to those things that others have to teach you (The Hierophant Rx), you’re going to miss out on a good part of the fun that goes along with the learning process (Page of Cups).

Take Away: There’s a lot you’re holding back on because you’re worried or uncertain. There’s also a lot that you feel like you’re in battle with for the same reason (uncertainty and fears).

It’s time to take a step back and ascertain what is being driven by your fears.

Once you’ve identified what they are, you can then begin the process of letting them go so that you can enjoy the journey more and get more out of it (and those around you) with each step you take.

My Focus: What is asking for my attention before I continue moving forward?

The Mirror – When you catch yourself judging others harshly, take a moment to look within and figure out the reason why you are reacting in such a way. What within you is inspiring these harsh judgments? Direct kindness towards those parts of yourself that are creating these judgments and sync to gentle those parts of yourself through understanding and acceptance.

Understanding: What understanding could strengthen my relationship with myself {or others}?

Disconnected – Give yourself the grace needed to experience your emotions, even the ones that feel unpleasant. When you allow yourself to sit with these emotions and actually experience them, instead of trying to ignore them or rush them along, you open up a door for growth and allow these unpleasant experiences to create opportunities in your life. These emotions are there for a reason, and it’s important that you practice the acceptance needed to allow yourself to experience them.

The Meaning: What deeper meaning is revealing itself through the path I am walking?

Femininity – The path that you are walking allows you to connect not just to the “masculine” aspects that your father tried so hard to instill within you, but to explore in more depth the soft and nurturing side of your nature, both in relating to yourself as well as other others.

Alignment: What direction feels most aligned with the person I am becoming?

Nature Resonance – More time in nature and a deeper connection to the earth are the direction that feels most aligned with who you are becoming. Holding yourself apart harms you on a soul deep level. It’s time to dive back in with enthusiasm and tangle your roots with those of the trees.

Where Your Heart Is – “The essence of life is not about where you are or what you do, but who you do it with. The true home of your heart is found in relationships with others, and sharing with them brings meaning to places and experiences. Spend time with those who warm your heart and nurture your soul.”

Make sure that you are reaching out and connecting with those that you love and who love you in turn. The timing doesn’t have to be right for you to reach out. Just do it because they’re on your mind… that’s all the motivation necessary.

❤️ Self Care Saturday (On a Sunday)

These Saturday readings are (not usually) bearing in on any one thing or event in my life, as the question used is asking for a more general outlook. This is a self care exercise, and is not meant as a predictive reading… although that, too, happens on occasion.

The question is… What do I need to focus for self-care through the week ahead?

Self Care Saturday Tarot Reading with The Pressed Flower Tarot and Epiphyllum V2 Love and Pain Playing Cards

EarthThe Fool Again / Apple Blossom, Lilac, Strawberry – Look for opportunities and themes of rebirth this week. The time is right for a new beginning. Take the growth that you have experienced thus far and carry it forward with you into the next adventure as you start on this new path.

AirTen of Swords / Sunflower and Autumn Leaves – New beginnings aren’t possible without the endings that go along with them. Make sure that you keep your frame of mind towards letting go of that which is not serving you as you move forward. Sometimes letting go can be painful, but the journey ahead will be lighter without these outdated mindsets dragging you down and stunting your new growth.

WaterQueen of Pentacles / Queen Anne’s Lace – Tend to your nest. For you, life is often at it’s best when you’re working towards a harmonious environment for yourself and others. Don’t close yourself off in solitude, but instead let the support from others help you in achieving a happier and healthier home.

FireThe High Priestess / Passion Flower, Iris, Cannabis – Make sure to stay focused on staying open and receptive this week, both with your normal five senses and those others beyond that as well. There is much to help further your journey and awaken your inspiration, as long as you’re willing to be open to their presence and influences.

WaningQueen of Diamonds and Two of Diamonds – Take care you aren’t falling into the habitual mindset that the only way to get something done correctly to do it yourself. You need others help. Remember to include them in your efforts and responsibilities rather than closing them out and doing everything on your own.

WaxingEight of Hearts and Jack of Diamonds – Keep in mind that sometimes extricating yourself from the situations you don’t want to be in might take a little bit of time in order to assure no damage is sustained in the process. Just because you have to take it slow, doesn’t mean you’re not in the process of breaking free and walking away.

Take Away – There is a great deal of encouragement here to lean on others and let them assist you in your endeavors this week; this doesn’t just mean chores, responsibilities, and home care, but also any new projects or ideas that pop up. Don’t forget that to let new things into your life, you need to let go of some of the things that aren’t serving you anymore. Otherwise there’s just no room for the new stuff to take root and grow.
