Brief Then Gone
A little snow
is better than none
with frozen temps
and feathery frost
and tiny snowflakes
mean and sharp
they sting the skin
as they land
and in the night
it’ll freeze hard
the sidewalks slick
for half a day
until the rain comes
and melts it away

I don’t like it
when you act
as if you should be
unwanted
and shy away
instead of
standing strong
in the knowledge
that I am yours
and you are mine
and not just
always wanted
but needed
at my side.

There is a

an ebb and flow
to the energy

where home
is found
in the dancing light
of dominance
and submission
and strength
within vulnerability.

over sand
