the clouds
look like
racing bunnies
but hold no rain
to kiss the ground
and on these days
I think of you

open windows
and lie down
on the floor
to watch as
summer breeze
makes lights
sway
while the cast of
shadows and light
skim over
my skin

and bare stone
greet my flesh
as I seek
the splash
