A cheerful greeting
a bit of calm
colorful specks
bobbing in the sun
always vibrant
and filled with life
they’re pansy’s friends
and bring a smile
delicate petals
a bit of white
by summer’s end
they’ll spread
far and wide
A quiet place
to settle and wait
for nothing
in particular
to happen
Just there to listen
to the lap of water
on rocky shore
and smell the
salty tang
in that hint of brine
in the air
This is where
daydreams
and seagull screams
are born
You wouldn’t think
such a sweet face
would have
an ornery streak
yet watch out
for when those
pretty
golden green eyes
narrow
and that soft
little nose
tightens
Little bud
dark and dusky
waits
for sunlight’s kiss
to relax
that tight grip
and let
vibrant colors
shine bright
like the balm
of love’s kiss
upon the soul
A battle
between
dark and light
spreads
across the sky
A reflection of
each and every soul
Temptation
and integrity
intertwined
throughout eternity
piece and parcel
of us all
This is a fun repeat exercise that I’ve now used a few times and resurrect every few months!
Have you ever listened to a song and suddenly realized “This song is such a Tower/Emperor/Hanged Man song!”? This activity is based off of a love for music and how we associate music with the world around us.
Activity: Randomly draw five cards from your deck. For each card pick (or find) a song that you feel fits that card perfectly.
