In the Wake of the Storm

Tempest Tarot and Thera-Pets Emotional Support Animal CardsToday’s meditation was ten minutes long, and focused upon the affirmation on the Thera-Pets Emotional Support Animal card included in this post.

Today’s draw is the Tower card, which is traditionally a representation of sudden, chaotic and often catastrophic change. The appearance of the Tower card indicates the need to tear down established structures so that something new can take its place, and that if you’re unwilling to tear them down? The universe will find a way to tear them down for you.

The reminder here in this card lies in the interaction between the affirmation cared pulled for my meditation, and the Tower card pulled for the card of the day.  It speaks of a need to come at situations with a clear head, even those that are unexpected and catastrophic.

Don’t get so wrapped up in the moment that you forget there’s a boon to be had in what’s happening. Don’t lose sight of the fact that the changes taking place are meant to be, and are leading you to something better if you’re willing to seize the opportunities presented in the wake of the storm.

Today’s meditation was skipped.

Tempest Tarot DeckToday’s draw is the Knight of Cups, which is traditionally a representation of an active and projective beta energy, personality, or person in the area of one’s emotions, relationships, creativity, and intuition. This often translates into themes concerning someone who knows what they want and are eager and ready to go forth and go after it, being socially approachable, and those with charming personalities that are abundant in curiosity and imagination.

With a friendly face and an offer of ale, the sailor in today’s card is out to make friends, and taking an active role in doing just that.

Today’s card is a reminder that honey draws more bees than vinegar. Don’t let your cranky feelings or upset stomach sour your disposition and thus your relationships with others.

Exquisite Familiars OracleWhat does it feel like to know something for sure?

Oceanum avem – It is the same as that absolute certainty and rightness that you feel when you are being yourself, and displaying your true colors and greatest skills.

That rightness is something familiar and there is no uncertainty there, only the comfort of the familiarity in what makes you unique.  That same feeling is there within you when you truly know something for certain.

How can I enhance my intuition through my dreams?

Flamma geodia – Remember that your dreams are unique and are yours to do with as you wish.  No one can interpret them better than you, for you know yourself best. If you give yourself the permission to explore these dreams, you can not just enhance your intuition, but allow that growth to move on a path that is uniquely individual to you.

Tempest Tarot DeckWhat area of my life is requiring too much sacrifice?

King of Wands and Nine of Wands – Stop trying to protect and sustain everything all on your own.  You have people around you that are open to stepping in and helping you as much or as little as you want, even in things like safety, protection, and making choices that will both foster growth as well as keep everything from being knocked off course.

What would be a better option or path?

Knight of Swords, Queen of Swords atop Nine of Cups – Foster the dreams of yourself and others by using all that is at your disposal to to charge forward and accomplish your goals. Sometimes, “all that is at your disposal” is not just about tools and ingenuity, but about the people involved that are willing to join you on the journey and carry some of the weight along the way.
