I have always liked the idea that we are all made up of stardust. Us. The planet.  Everything.  Stardust. The “cosmos” prompt combined with today’s cards made me think of that, and how amazing it is that there is such diversity in the world and, for that matter, in the universe.  Look at all the different, unique, and wonderful things that stardust can do.

The message in today’s cards is that when you lean into your uniqueness, accepting it as not just a part of who you are but an important part of who you are, good things happen.  When you stop trying to conform to the “norm” and standards of others, you give yourself the freedom to discover your own interests and joys, dreams and things with which to be passionate about.  And that, in turn? Draws others to you that are a good fit.  A good fit for your weirdness, and a good fit for your time and energy.

This is how we attract those like minded people that become true friends. This is how we find our “tribe”… our chosen family.  This is how we fill our lives with those that accept us for who we are instead of demanding we conform to other’s standards. Lean into your uniqueness, for it’s there in that weirdness where you’ll truly shine the brightest.

Oriental Skull Tarot - Six of Cups, Five of Cups, Ace of Cups, King of SwordsSix of Cups – You have been through a lot.  When you turn back to look at the past, make sure what you are taking from these times of reflection are positive messages and influences.  Every bad thing that has happened in your life has a silver lining of one kind or another. It’s important to seek out and prioritize that silver lining, and encourage it to outshine the trauma and scars.

Five of Cups Rx – The more you focus on the negative the more negative things will become, and so will life in general. Uncertainty is a part of life, and sometimes you just have to wing it or wait it out.  The message in today’s cards is that in either case, it should be the choice that empowers you instead of the one that lets you hide or avoid from the situation.

It can be really hard to find that feeling of empowerment and strength in the moment, especially if uncertainty is combined with a sense of helplessness.  It’s okay to feel lost, though.  Just keep going, because it’s only when you freeze in the headlights that you’re in danger of getting overrun.

It is not in your physical strength where you shine, but in your determination to do what needs done. This is true whether it is in your business and career, your relationships with others. or your faith and the goals you have set in this area.

Sit with what you want rather than pushing.  Sometimes, it’s in the stillness that your strength is the greatest.

Personal Note: Your mediumship abilities are greater when you keep up a regular meditative practice. This is yet another benefit of meditating regularly, and these cards are encouraging you to keep this up and make it a more regular occurrence, rather than something done just when you feel like it.

Today’s meditation was ten minutes long, and was one of the #DailyCalm sessions from the Calm app.

The focus for today’s session was all about stillness, and finding that place within you where quiet lies. It can be difficult to sink that deep into meditation, especially when feeling restless and struggling with an overactive mind. The advice given here is that instead of allowing yourself to fidget or your mind to wander, seek something small to focus on in order to remain still and quiet through the restlessness.

Halloween Affirmation Cards and Road to Equilibrium Tarot - Beginning of Materials, Ace of PentaclesToday’s draw is the Beginning of Materials (Ace of Pentacles) combined with the affirmation “I am a masterpiece of uniqueness, just like every pumpkin in a patch.”

Everyone of us is unique and important. Like cogs in the clockwork of life, each of us offers something to the world that no one else can.

It can be difficult to see our own uniqueness, but that doesn’t mean that our contributions doesn’t matter. Instead of disregarding your connection with the world and others, take time to sit and reflect on how the things you do connect you to others, and how the actions you take branch out from that single action to create reactions and new branches that stretch out into the world.

The cards for today are a reminder that the things we do in our life influence the future and those around us in some indispensable way.

The witch card indicates that it is through your faith and abilities in that area that you will be able to break away from this person and their influences. Don’t forget that it’s time to reinforce your wards.
