The question is… What do I need to focus for self-care through the week ahead?

EarthTwo of Cups – Your sense of stability in your life often comes from knowing everything is simpatico between you and those you love. Make sure that you are connecting with loved ones in order to foster this sense of connection and stability in your life and theirs as well.

AirKnight of Swords – Take extra care to write down your ideas. They might feel memorable in the moment, but once the excitement wanes a bit you’re going to need those notes.

WaterEight of Swords – Don’t ignore the approaching rain clouds. Pretending they don’t exist is not going to help either your emotional or mental health.

FireFour of Swords – Make sure that you are approaching your ambitions with a manageable mindset. You can’t just plow through things all the time, expect everything to come out okay, and expect for you to come out the other end unharmed.

WaningHouse and Tree – Don’t hide away from the world and expect to sustain good health in this manner. When you retreat, everyone suffers, not just you.

WaxingStar and Key – Hope and positivity are the key to overcoming the encroaching rain clouds.

Take Away – There are warnings here that the depression is going to start trying to edge in this week.  Make sure that you are leaning into that positivity and optimism that you know can help keep you afloat, and don’t retreat from others.  They need you… and you need their help to get through the struggle.  If you ignore the approaching depression, it will sneak up on you and you’ll miss your opportunity to do something about it.

Overall ThemeLadybug – Take care to focus on positivity and optimism this week. You will need their extra influence in your life to help combat any tendrils of depression or pessimism that are trying to rise up and make a mess out of things. Lean into happiness instead of self-flagellation.

EarthKing of Pentacles (Blue Morning Glory) – Make sure that you are staying on top of your responsibilities this week. Ground yourself often to ensure that the stress doesn’t start getting to you, and nip problems in the bud before they have chance to grow in your garden.

AirThe Hermit (Eryngos) atop The Emperor (Peony) – You will have very little chances left to take advantage of alone time and turn it to your advantage. Take charge of you urges to waste that alone time in unhealthy ways that could end up harmful to your mental health.

WaterKnight of Pentacles (Field Bindweed) – Make sure that you are being patient with yourself this week. No beating up on yourself for having to take things slow or because you struggle emotionally while trying to understand how you’re feeling or how to handle it. You don’t have to beat yourself up about it, but you do need to watch how these emotions might influence your actions, and whether or not you’re giving yourself the nurturing energy you need to work through them. Self-medicating is not your friend, but rather it’s a self-destructive urge.

AirJudgement – Make sure you’re staying focused on the big picture, and not bearing down into becoming hyper-focused on one thing. Keep an open mind in your inner narrative, as there’s no need to be judgmental with yourself or others.

WaterCapricorn Rx – Take care not to be selfish or self-centered this week. You may have a tendency to lean into these themes right now, and you need to make sure that (as the Air position in this reading recommends) you stay focus on the big picture. That includes how you are affecting others.

EarthTen of Cups and Cleavers (Galium aparine) – take some time to really appreciate what you have and where you are this week. Enjoy those around you with a sense of gratitude, seek peace and quiet to help further is anxieties in the areas of your finances, resources, and stability. Much of your anxiety is fueled by your perception, so focus that perception towards the good that you have and foster emotional peace in this area.

AirAce of Wands and Lemon Balm (Melissa officinalis) – Combat your negative inner narrative by taking a look at just how good you are at putting into motion your ideas. Give yourself some credit and allow that to be a balm for the wounds that your inner narrative has created over the past few months.

EarthKnave of Cups, La Gourmande atop L’effarouchée – Push aside your fear in order to dive into the lessons that need learned. You are leaning towards shut-in behaviors, and this is not healthy for you. It’s time to work on re-training yourself and your reactions to take you out more, instead of indulging in the fears and habits that encourage distance from others and hibernation behavior.

AirThe Tower and L’Ethérée – More grounding is needed. Seek out those things that will allow your roots to dig deep and your sense of balance and solidity to flourish.
