Da Vinci Enigma Tarot - Three of Wands, Three of Fire

Today’s draw is the Three of Wands (Fire), which is traditionally a representation of the first active step in a journey, progress towards a goal, and the seizing of opportunities.

When it’s time to go, it’s time to go. You can only hesitate for so long before actually having to take action. Just as a baby stays in the womb for only so long before it has to break free (brought to mind via the illustration in today’s card).

As we grow, sometimes new things can feel intimidating or uncomfortable. These feelings can make us hesitate or back away from taking action, when action is what is needed.

Just as when it’s time for the baby to come out, staying in would be detrimental, so too does inaction harm us in these situations.

The message in today’s Three of Wands (Fire) card and “Anticipation” prompt is a reminder that we can only hold back for so long. The stillness we find in moments of anticipation may seem like a safe place to linger, but it’s only a good place to linger until the time to act is upon us.

Tarot Reading with The Circle of Life Handmade Tarot

What are your strengths when dealing with others?

The Lighthouse (Queen of Wands) – You inspire others to try new things and follow their dreams. You give them the inspiration needed to explore and discover the world around them, as well as the things that make them happy.

The Hammock (Ten of Wands) – You are a cautionary tale that often shows the importance of resting when you need it. You help others understand that overwhelm is caused not by personal failing, but by pushing too hard and expecting too much of yourself.

The Book (Nine of Cups) – You share with others what is possible if you put your heart to a task and use that motivation to expand your mind and your knowledge.

How can you build upon your interpersonal skills?

Love (The Lovers) – Share your love and caring with others while still standing firm and what is healthiest for you. Love others by loving yourself as you do them, instead of holding yourself to some impossible higher standard.

Tarot Reading with The Da Vinci Enigma Tarot

Reading Summary: Share with your partner (Lord of Water), the struggles that you are experiencing (Page of Air) in those battles you are engaged in (Seven of Fire).

Take Away: There is an emotional element to your struggle that you are not acknowledging. By speaking about these issues with Gideon, you are able to share your frustrations, as well as your worries in a way that you are unable to do by trying to call your emotions by name. (Names that you often don’t have the vocabulary to express.)

In other words, when he asks how you’re doing… instead of trying to express what feelings you’re feeling directly by naming them, express instead the struggles that you are going through. Tell him about what’s going on in your life and speak to him about what’s worrying you. This will communicate those emotions just as clearly, if not more so.

A Tarot Deck for the Spiritually Clumsy - Three of Cups

Today’s draw is the Three of Cups, which is traditionally a representation of friendships, revelry, celebration, and collaboration between those that are linked or alike not just in mind but also in heart.

Consider… what do they see and feel when you turn down their invitations again and again? Extroverts especially might struggle to interpret the meaning of this. They might think you’re not interested in their friendships or efforts. In fact, you know this for truth. As an introvert, you often can’t keep up with the needs of extroverts. That’s fine, but what that means is that they end up thinking you aren’t interested in their friendship. That’s why they disappear from your life after a while.

By the same turn? By the time you notice they’re gone? They’re -long- gone. Not because you don’t care. It still hurts. Instead, it’s just that your need for interaction is far less than theirs. This makes you incompatible, not less caring nor “left behind”.

Friendships are difficult. Difficult to develop, and difficult to keep. This is true when compatibility is high, and much more true when trying to hold on to friendships with those that you are not compatible with.

The message in today’s Three of Cups and “Perspective” prompt is a reminder that sometimes we assume things don’t work out because of something -we- have done. Maybe instead of playing the blame game, though, we need to look at it more as trial and error. A question of compatibility rather than a question of blame.

Tarot Reading with The Taroracle of Oz

What makes me feel most like me?

Queen of Pentacles – When you are feeling in control of your future and inspired from a place of stability. Instability makes you retreat and causes you a good deal of distress and inner struggle. A sense of stability, on the other hand, allows you to open up and become approachable.

What do I love about the way I think or feel?

Knight of Pentacles – You love that you choose to prioritize integrity, even above success or speed. You love that these priorities are long learned, and you’ve discovered over time what works best for you… applying that knowledge into weighing what matters and what doesn’t.

What do I believe I was put here to do?

Four of Cups – You believe that you were put here to offer help and support… but only to those who are open to it. You accept that it’s not your responsibility to help those that are not interested in being helped, and turn your focus to those who are.

When do I feel the most confident or powerful?

Nine of Wands Rx – When things are feeling safe and secure. It’s hard to feel at your most confident and powerful when you’re in the process of bracing for impact or fearing the worst is yet to come.

What’s something about me most people don’t know but should?

Ace of Pentacles – You’re not as stuck in your ways as you appear, you just need sufficiently inspirational motivators to spark your interest in change.

Take Away: You’ve lain the groundwork here already, and are ready to pursue the answers you need to turn things around. There’s a lot of uncertainty and worry involved, but you need to acknowledge that this uncertainty is not based on reality, but rather upon your fear of being powerless.

Instead of giving into those fears, step forward with strength and seek out the answers you need. You were able to step out of the shadows and begin the journey, and that was half the battle right there. Now it’s time to keep going.

Spiral Tarot - Knight of Wands

Today’s draw is the Knight of Wands, which is traditionally a representation of a projective beta energy, personality, or person in the area of one’s drive, passions, willpower, principles, inspiration, or enthusiasm. This often translates into themes that have to do with rash behavior and a go-get’em attitude toward the things that matter to that person.

Sometimes doing what you want and are inspired by takes little more oomph, and a thick skin to protect yourself and your passions from naysayers.

Passion pursuits aren’t always easy. There’s lots of things in life that you may be good at, and yet don’t enjoy it all. For example, I am really good at cooking. I can’t even remember the last thing I made that didn’t turn out, regardless of if I’m following a recipe or not. Cooking is, in fact, an integral part of my spiritual practice.

That doesn’t mean I enjoy cooking, though. Just because I’m good at it doesn’t mean I enjoy it.

By the same turn, some of the things that you really enjoy might be things that you completely suck at. That doesn’t mean you stop. It may mean that you can’t get paid at it, but that doesn’t mean that you can’t enjoy it regardless of whether or not you’re good at it. (For example, I absolutely suck at pool/billiards… but I always have a good time when I play.)

The message in today’s Knight of Wands card and “Lucidity” prompt is a reminder that enjoyment is not necessarily based upon talent and skill. When we look at things through the eyes of enjoyment, we see with a clarity what we can’t see any other way. That is, we see a value in things that might otherwise miss seeing. That value being how much we enjoy something, rather than how much we can get out of it or what we can do with it.

Tarot Reading with The Sorcerers Tarot and Gemstones & Dragons Oracle

What area of your life is requiring too much sacrifice?

Five of Pentacles, Peridot, King of Cups – You have a tendency to pretend that you’re okay when you’re not, just to keep others calm and comfortable. That fear that others will see your weaknesses and reject you for them is taking too much out of you.

This choice of compliance to be accepted and liked is costing too much. Remember that not wanting to deal with something it’s not the same as not needing to.

What would be a better option or path?

Ace of Pentacles atop Nine of Swords Rx, Smoky Quartz, Nine of Cups – Rock the boat on your fears by bringing them out into the open. This creates the opportunity for something better to emerge.

Nothing that you do that goes against your own needs is going to provide you the healing and care that you are in need of. It only perpetuates more pain. Instead, allow yourself the care you need and stop the people pleasing tactics.

Take Away: Starting around February 1st, something went awry with your product advertising. At first you thought it must be as a glitch, but the issue has continued into March now.

Shadowscapes Tarot - Ten of Pentacles

Today’s draw is the Ten of Pentacles, which is traditionally a representation of satisfaction and stability in the area of one’s finances, resources, home, health, manifestations, and the physical world. This often translates into themes that have to do with hard earned success, accomplishments, abundance created through patience and hard work.

Perfection is temporary. Okay, so perhaps perfection in itself is a myth, but we can all agree that times when everything is going our way and we can relish in our successes are few and fleeting.

If we consider treating these moments as liminal, maybe we could savor them just a little more deeply.

That is to say, even our mistakes and failures have the potential to be transitional doorways that lead to something better… if we open our minds to letting that be the case.

After all, with each mistake and failure we experience, we learn and grow… or at least that is the idea. That means that nothing, not even failure, is a waste as long as we learn from it in some way and carry those lessons forward with us.

The message in today’s Ten of Pentacles and “Liminal” prompt is a reminder that just because something doesn’t go how it’s planned doesn’t mean that it doesn’t hold value. Our mistakes and our failures have great potential to be doorways… thresholds through which we can gain value, as long as we’re open to doing so.

Tarot Reading with The Unofficial Shel Silverstein Tarot

A part of myself that’s been kept hidden

Ten of Wands – Just exactly how much shit you’re trying to deal with at once. You keep overfilling your plate and trying to pile more on as if you’ve got plenty of time and room for more. The fact is, though, that you don’t… and you’re not handling what you already have half as well as you appear to be to others.

Why has this part needed to hide?

Two of Swords – Part of the reason this issue comes about in the first place is because you often struggle to pick one option over another. Instead of buckling down and making a choice, you then try to take on both.

How does this hidden material influence me indirectly?

Two of Wands Rx – Being unable to be more selective in what you take on holds you back from the planning stage of those things that are a part of your responsibility. There’s just not enough time, and so it forces you to have to do things on the fly and hope for the best instead of having a well-made plan in place.

What does safe exploration of this part look like?

Ace of Wands Rx – A release of enthusiasm. You can’t “burn the candle at both ends” forever. The fact you can see the potential in so many different things, and become enthusiastic about that potential, means that you’re always going to struggle to choose. You need to acknowledge, though, that sometimes choosing is unavoidable or you’ll end up snuffing out the potential of both… or alternately burning out quickly in a flash fire.

: What unexpected pleasure is ready to enter my life?

Tarot Reading with the Shadowscapes Tarot

Reading Summary: Acting now (Eight of Wands) to take a better care of yourself and follow what truly matters to you (The Lovers) will help keep your emotional novicity (Page of Cups) from stealing the show (Seven of Swords).

Take Away: Yes, I made up a word (novicity). The condition of being a novice in something.

You are still new and lacking in skill when it comes to your emotions. This doesn’t have to be your focus, though. The problem lies in the fact that you focus so hard on your struggle in this that you aren’t allow room for enjoyment of life as a whole. Instead you’re too busy focusing on your failings and struggles.

You can experience far more pleasure in life if you allow yourself to love and care for yourself well rather than punishing yourself for your failings. Beating yourself up makes life worse, and does nothing to strengthen you or help you learn to do better.

🎨 Weekly Creativity Prompt – Alternate Endings

Prompt: Millie just broke up with her boyfriend and is on her own for the first time in her life.A friend she works with (Andrew) is also looking for a new place to live. Millie isn’t sure if it’s a good idea to become roommates with Andrew, or if she’d be better off on her own.
Out of the different three card readings shown below, which one provides the happiest result for Millie? Why do you say that?

Trash Panda Tarot - Knight of Wands, Ten of Swords, Nine of Wands

Trash Panda Tarot Knight of Wands, Ten of Swords, Nine of Wands

Enthusiasm (Knight of Wands) often leads us to not see the pitfalls that are coming until it’s too late (Ten of Swords), and we’re then left burned, wounded, and wary in the end (Nine of Wands).

This moving in with Andrew may seem like a good idea, especially if he’s hyping it up as some great adventure. The problem lies in the fact that you’re not looking at the pitfalls involved. What are the potential problems and issues, and what does that say about the outcome of this choice? Moving in this direction has a high probability of you getting burned in the end. The most likely result is that you’ll learn some unpleasant lessons, and come out the other end still standing but wounded and wary.

Reverse Scale Tarot - The Star, Strength, Two of Wands

Reverse Scale Tarot The Star, Strength, Two of Wands

Riding the hope involved in this move (The Star) isn’t necessarily a bad thing as long as you’re aware of the manipulations going on beneath the surface (Strength). Be prepared with a back up plan (Two of Wands).

As a short term solution to your problem, this move in with Andrew sounds pretty solid. Just be aware that Andrew appears to be a bit manipulative, using cheer and hope to lift you up and also get you to see things his way. Make sure you have a back up plan in place for when it’s time to move on, so that you’re ready for when reality comes calling.

Forest Spirit Imprint Tarot - Five of Swords, Eight of Swords, Seven of Swords

Forest Spirit Imprint Tarot Five of Swords, Eight of Swords, Seven of Swords

You’re going to come out of this endeavor with less than you went in with (Seven of Swords). Moving in with Andrew has the potential to bring with it lots of conflict (Five of Swords), of which you will try to ignore the best you can until it becomes too much for you to handle (Eight of Swords).

This particular grouping of cards looks like an abusive relationship. I’m not sure there’s anything redeeming or positive here for you to hope for in moving in with Andrew. He may seem nice on the surface, and maybe he really is, but it does not appear he’s going to make a very good roommate for Millie. On the contrary, it appears like an abusive cycle where she’s going to end up cheated in the end, and perhaps of more than just her possessions if that Eight of Swords has anything to say about it.

Summary :

In all three of these readings, the central card is one that indicates something is being hidden or remains unseen that needs to be acknowledged. This tells me that no matter which interpretation we go with, there’s a problem that’s not being seen. Out of these three readings, if she goes along with moving in with Andrew, the best result for Millie is the second reading… that said? All three of these are telling her that she shouldn’t be moving in with him at all.

Real Sky Astrology Tarot - Eight of Wands

Today’s draw is the Eight of Wands, which is traditionally a representation of action, speed, alacrity, fast paced events or change, or having a target goal in your sights that you are charging towards.

The picture in this card is of a woman giving birth. There’s an immediacy to birth. Whether a baby is early or late in coming, when it’s ready to come? It’s ready to come. You can’t just say “oh, this isn’t convenient right now, we’ll do it later”. Trying to keep the baby from being born is harmful to both the mother and the baby, and so the birth happens when it happens.

This illustration placed upon the Eight of Wands card speaks to me of the fact that sometimes you just have to go for it. If you don’t, your inaction can cause harm to more than just yourself.

The message in today’s Eight of Wands card and “Portal” prompt is an encouragement to do the things that need to be done when they need to be done. Procrastination might feel good now and then, but the truth is that it usually causes more problems than it ever solves. Instead of putting off what needs done, step forward into action. You won’t regret whatever it is being done now instead of later.

How are you doing physically at this time?

Ten of Swords and Four of Swords Rx – If you don’t give yourself the “rest” you need, you’ll be sorry.

Remember that rest for one person is not the same as rest for the other, and it doesn’t always mean stagnancy or sleep. Instead, it’s whatever makes you feel refreshed.

How can you improve on this in the week ahead?

Two of Wands atop Three of Wands; Six of Cups – Make a plan, execute the plan, and reap the benefits of having done those things that have been proven by time and past experience to give you that sense of restored energy.

These cards are encouraging you to actually think about those things that create that sense of refreshment. Do you really get that result from bed rotting? By playing games or doom scrolling?

Not usually. So look at those things that actually -do- provide refreshment for you, and make a plan that you can follow through on to actually do them. This is a self kindness that will reap rewards you can actually enjoy.
