Be Ready To Seize the Day

Today’s meditation was probably skipped, but I can’t remember.  I’m playing catch-up.

Dear Heart Tarot and How to Be a Wildflower DeckToday’s draw is the King of Swords, which is traditionally a representation of a projective alpha energy, personality, or person in the area of one’s intellect, education, communication, and instinct.  Part of this also includes imagination, although that can also touch upon the Cups suit as well.

The message that you see in the combination of the authority seen in the King of Swords and the affirmation card today is that if you can dream it, think it, strategize it… you can do it.

Sometimes you have to “own” what you want in attitude and how you present yourself, in your mind and your dreams.  Then when the opportunity to truly seize those things, you are prepared to reach out and grab them with both hands.

Questions for August 18th

Tarot de el Dios de los TresWhat message does Temperance have for me?

Six of Cups – Be kind to yourself and allow your intuition to guide you into leaning into positive memories instead of the negative ones.

What obstacles does Temperance want to warn me about?

Five of Cups – You are struggling with keeping your emotions uplifted and seeing the positive. Don’t ignore this. It’s important.

What guidance does Temperance have for me to overcome this obstacle?

Three of Pentacles atop Two of Pentacles – Allow your friends to help you in making good decisions instead of doing it on your own. Your perception is flawed at the moment, and they are happy to help.

#DiscordTarotholicsAug2021 Challenge Prompt
Philosophical Question
: Does luck (good or bad) actually exist?

Dear Heart TarotLuck is our earthly perception of the swing between cause and effect. The universe seeks balance between these two things. We do not always perceive all the positive and negative that constantly seeking balance things out creates, and thus what we notice, we arbitrarily label as “luck” when it’s not anything so random.

If we slow down (Knight of Pentacles) and really take the time to see things from a fresh perspective (Ace of Swords), we can witness this effort of the universe creating this swing back and forth in that constant effort to find balance in the ever shifting sands of life (The World).

Daily Self Kindness

Like the meditation at the beginning of this post, I’m playing catch up and I just don’t remember what I did today for a self kindness.

New Moon in Leo – August 2021

Yesterday was the new moon, and like all new moons and full moons, I did a spread aligned to the moon’s current themes as a part of my recognition of the moon’s cycle and influences upon us. Today’s spread is about  taking back your power, and brought to you by Sharron Basanti of Seeds of Shakti.

New Moon in Leo - Tarot de el Dios de los Tres

1. Where do I need to call back my power from?

Temperance atop Ace of Cups – Again, the cards are indicating that it’s time to rest and relax, and not worry so much about your emotional growth. Soon, preparation for the holiday rush will begin as you need this time to get yourself moderated and rested, aligned and ready. The only way to do this is through moderation.

2. How can I lovingly stand in my fierceness?

Four of Swords and Strength – Taking stock of where you’re at and practicing a mindfulness of gratitude are the key to making sure that you are able to remain both kind and fierce in good measure.

3. How can I hold sacred space for my inner child to flourish and convey a light-hearted energy?

Nine of Pentacles – Again, this is a time for you to rest and it’s in this rest. The inner strength that you will gain through this time of rest will provide space for the inner child to flourish within, and allow the more playful side of their nature to emerge.

4. How can I express my love and generosity to those in my kindred circle?

The Sun – Make space for fun. Encourage it not just in your time with them, but in their own lives as well.

5. Message from the Ancestors.

Five of Swords – You’ve got this. Don’t give up.
