The question is… What do I need to focus for self-care through the week ahead?

EarthFour of Swords – Stillness is your friend. As many readings over the past week have mentioned, don’t jump the gun concerning the things you’re worried about. Your answers lie within patience, and in adaptation when adaptation is needed and not a moment sooner.

AirDeath – You have an opportunity to prepare instead of being taken completely by surprise. Changes are common and it’s okay to think them through and strategize, as long as you aren’t jumping the gun on taking action, and that you remember that plans will never be perfect and always need tinkering with in the moment.

WaterSix of Pentacles – Be kind to yourself. Self-generosity is needed to keep you from falling into the habits of old defense mechanisms. Give yourself what you need instead of withholding it these things as a form of punishment or self-destructiveness.

FireJustice – You get what you give, and that includes in self-care. If you don’t put in the effort in this area and take it seriously, you won’t reap the needed rewards.

WaningBoy and Man – Don’t worry so much about being a “responsible adult” at the moment. You need a little time allowing your softness to flow freely and letting your inner child have some fun.

WaxingDog and Scythe – Stick to your guns with the silent treatment you’ve been giving your potential stalker. They -are- getting the message, even if a resurgence of their behaviors is eminent.  Keep your boundaries strong and don’t allow yourself to cross over into responding, no matter what bait is brought to bear.

Reading Note: I chose to leave the alternates for cards 28 and 29 in the deck due to them having such different connotations. Thus how I ended up with both 28 cards in the Waning position of this reading.

Take Away – The time to act is not now, no matter how much your anxieties try to push you into doing so. Plan, watch, listen, pay attention, strategize and plan some more.  Just don’t -do- anything yet.  Instead? Spend this time giving yourself the self-care you need, including those generosities that allow you to stay open and vulnerable instead of retreating to protect yourself.

EarthPage of Pentacles – Adaptation is your friend. Remember that the ability to change and evolve creates stability even as it feels unstable. It’s okay to go slow to ensure good footing with each step. Just don’t stop.

AirThe Magician Rx – Take care in how much you actually listen to your inner narratives this week. Self destructive tendencies are on the rise, and those whispers are not the helpful advice that they appear to be.

WaterTwo of Swords – Action and movement will help in keeping your mental health in-check and your emotions in a healthy place. Don’t pause in stagnancy this week, but instead use movement and activity to help invigorate you and keep things fresh.

FireEight of Swords Rx – Make sure that you’re not giving up too easily. Confronting challenges instead of surrendering to them will get you further this week then just letting things go or writing them off.

EarthQueen of Cups atop The Lovers Rx – Foster stability in your life by keeping your guard up when it comes to “the slut”. Make sure that there are no misunderstandings between you and your partner concerning just how bad an idea her proposal is. This is not a cursory discussion. Make sure you discuss it in depth so that he’s able to fully air his feelings on the matter as well.

AirThe Magician – Communication is your tool of the week. Make sure when you communicate with others that you do so in a clear manner. Although Mercury ☿️ going into retrograde doesn’t usually affect you personally, keep in mind the effect it has on others.

WaterKnight of Coins – When a call to action comes in? Consider slowing down instead of speeding up to dive in head first. Sometimes the act of doing nothing is doing something. Don’t discount willful inaction, for it is just as intentional an act as willful omission.

WaningClouds and Garden – Don’t allow social uncertainties to eat at you this week. The fact others are out of sorts has nothing to do with you personally, so don’t take that weight on your shoulders just because things are feeling uncertain at the moment.

EarthThe Empress – You take care of everyone else, but who takes care of you? You are no longer “maiden fresh” with energy that abounds, and you should not be putting out more than you are receiving. Abundance, like everything else, is a balance of give and take. Consider taking more this week in order to foster a better balance.

AirTwo of Combustion (Wands) – Continue with getting your ducks in a row this week. Make plans, but with the caveat that they might be for naught if something unforeseen enters the picture. Rough drafts are great, just don’t carve them into stone.

FireThe Magician Rx – You’re going to be feeling “all thumbs” this week, and like you just can’t get anything right. Remember the guidance the other positions in this reading have given. Cut yourself a break and lean on others. Remember that this experience is temporary.

EarthTwo of Cups – Finances, good health, and stability in life is not something that is yours alone to deal with. It’s a team effort between those who share the same values and resources as you, and have committed to making things work with you. Don’t take all of it on your shoulders alone.

AirThe Chariot – Be proactive in your mental health, as well as in areas that need a bit of strategizing to go how you want them to. Now is the time to show your intent and steer things in the right direction. Make plans, strategize, and take hold of the reigns. Take note, though… this is not a solo job.   In the Chariot, one person holds the reigns to steer while others pull.  Take the Earth’s advice above to heart.

WaterPage of Swords Rx – Not all emotions can be reasoned with. It sucks, but it’s true.
