How is it
that I became
so lucky
as to find someone
that knows me
so well
that they can see
what I will see
and know
without a doubt
what lies in my heart
is a tangle of
roots and branches
You come to me
in dreams
with warm hands
calloused and rough
and a soft mouth
hot and wet
and I wake
gasping
energy reaching
as I seek you out
and find you
waiting
and ready
always ready
I want to
reach for you
among
tangled sheets
and find warm flesh
to press upon mine
as we roll and shift
to get closer
with low chuckles
and quiet gasps
until we fit together
like puzzle pieces
that are
never meant
to be apart
A surprise
in the mail
for valentines day
and I bring
the package home
filled with curiosity
when I open the box
what do I see?
a fierce red face
looking back at me
a guardian
to watch over
the treasures
I hold dear
and remind me
that love
is always near
Let’s go
on an adventure
where forest floor
squishes
under wet leaves
and pine needles
drip
crystalline drops
to cling
in our hair
as we wander
into the
deep dark woods
and get lost
in nature’s embrace
“There’s something
on your lip”
he says
and I pause
to lick
along the swell
with the tip
of questing tongue
as he watches
with rapt gaze
every movement
as I collect
what was left behind
