Dusk in Autumn

Summer’s whisper
sighs ‘goodbye’
and leaves behind
swirling shades
of bright sunsets
and blue dusk.
Civilization
twinkles like stars
in the darkness
a sky of
shimmering light
stretching out
over land.

Tendrils
of smoke
create a moment
of needed peace
as scents
