Eager faces
peek out
from windows
excited
to say hello
with
lolling tongues
and wagging tails
as we walk
along the path
admiring
the flower beds
it’s those inside
dancing eagerly
awaiting
our attention
instead
Tenderness
sometimes
a soft smile
is just
what is
needed
to make
everything
feel just
a bit more
okay
and release
the tension
building
inside.
Pride
Wings spread
and head
held high
my chest
swells
with warmth
as plans made
come to
fruition
and tension
releases
as everything
goes smoothly
Curiosity
Where the
sea and land
meet
is a space
filled with
liminal energies
and possibility
where
each creature
and every
bit of detritus
tells a story
of adaptation
and connection
Reassurances
Potential beauty
sits still and quiet
beneath the shine
of what already
is kissed
by the sun
and yet
there’s more
still to come
as the
first blooms
begin to fade
and new ones
take their place

People complain
about rainy days
as May
is left behind
and June begins
yet all I feel
is gratitude
for every
raindrop
that falls
from the sky
and the clouds
that keep temps
comfortable
