Being Stubborn Doesn’t Make It Right

Today’s meditation was skipped.

Medieval Mischief Tarot - The Lovers CardToday’s draw is the Lovers card, which is traditionally a representation of love, unions, and the making of decisions that are right and healthy for you.

What I see in this card’s imagery, though, is that sometimes what we want and desire is not always what’s truly good for us.

What I see in this card is a reminder not to cling to those things that are not for you.  No matter how much you want them to be.   Being too stubborn about this only leads to pain and struggle.

Better to accept and move on, than fight and insist when it’s only going to do you far more harm than good.

Question for February 18th
: What do you need to focus on for self-care for the new moon?

Reclaim OracleReading Summary: The snake in the Regret card reflects up into the Lovers card in your COTD for today.

There are times that you worry (Regret) that by holding on so tightly to your boundaries and independence (Integrity) that you are fucking things up in your relationship (the snake).

Don’t.  He is patient and, although greedy, he is happy for all that you’re willing to give without pushing for more (Patience).

Take Away: Stop worrying so much that you could lose him. He’s here for the long haul and isn’t pushing. There’s no reason to worry that that is going to change.

Questions for February 17th and 18th

Medieval Mischief Tarot - Queen of Wands, Eight of Coins, Ace of Coins, Ten of WandsWhat card symbolizes the love that I have for others?

Eight of Pentacles atop Queen of Wands – You use those things you are passionate about and good at to connect with others.  You seek to teach and guide, to give of yourself through these pursuits and sharing of these interests. This is how you express your love for others.

How can I share my love more effectively with others?

Ace of Pentacles and Ten of Wands – Take opportunities that are presented to you to share the burden of your responsibilities. When you pile them too high on your own plate, it steals time and energy not just from you… but from your ability to share with others and enjoy their company.

Actively Seeking Help

Today’s meditation was skipped.

Britt's Third Eye Tarot - Five of PentaclesToday’s draw is the Five of Pentacles, which is traditionally a representation of misfortune, domestic or financial troubles, scarcity, and ill health.

The figure in this  imagery seeks help for their scarcity, but their effort is passive instead of active.

The message in this card’s imagery that it’s okay to seek charity when charity is needed, but sometimes you have to be active about it.  Don’t just sit there and hold out your hand, and expect people to know what you need or want to help.

Sometimes?  You have to actually seek out that help, clearly state what’s wrong, and allow others in to help us.

Britt's Third Eye Tarot and Магия Сердца OракулHow or where should I free myself from unhealthy attachments?

Ace of Swords and Misalliance – Stop trying so hard to convince yourself things are working out when they are just not going to. You would benefit from being more discerning instead of giving 2nd chances and going easy on the fuck ups for fear of being blamed for unbiased treatment.

What insecurities, fears or coping mechanisms are holding me back?

The Tower and Love – Pushing away those you love in moments of chaos and turmoil only hold you back from the love, support, and assistance that you need from those that love you.

Question for February 17
: Where have you been settling for “good enough” in your life?

Britt's Third Eye Tarot - Knight of Cups, Queen of Swords, Queen of WandsReading Summary: You feel like you are falling short on going after what interests that make you happy (Knight of Cups and Queen of Wands), because your negative inner narrative shames you into more responsible tasks (Queen of Swords Rx).

Take Away: Your negative inner narrative is something that you struggle with a lot. It holds you back not just from aiming for success in those goals you set your sights on, but also prevents you from enjoying yourself when participating in activities that would normally light you up on the inside and create an enthusiastic emotional response.

These negative inner influences muffle both your joy and your enthusiasm.

Questions for February 16th and 17th

Магия Сердца OракулHow can I attract more love into my life?

Edge atop Rolling Pin – Take a chance more often instead of being so strict with yourself and that needy child hiding within you. When you put yourself out there instead of being hard on yourself, it allows your love to spread like seeds in the wind and take root in many places instead of withering on the vine by being held too close and too tightly.

How can I reduce barriers to allowing more love into my life?

Witchcraft and Love – Intention.  You need to make the choice and apply intention to connecting with others rather than allowing everything to just happen by chance all the time.

🌑 New Moon in Pisces – February 2023

On Sunday is the new moon, and like all new moons and full moons, I did a spread aligned to the moon’s current themes as a part of my recognition of the moon’s cycle and influences upon us. Today’s New Moon in Pisces prompts are brought to you by MoonMamaOracle.

MetaZoo Seance Tarot Cards

A card to represent my New Moon in Pisces energy.

Six of Wands – You’re feeling a bit of social pressure at the moment. Make sure it’s something valid you are perceiving, and not something imagined when in reality everyone is fine with you. This is far more likely the case.

Where can my imagination take me this New Moon?

Eight of Cups – Right off a cliff… if you let it.

How can I use my imagination to tap in to my goals?

Ten of Pentacles – Imagine what you want to manifest in your life instead of worrying about what you don’t. Just recently I watched an Amazon Prime movie called The Secret: Dare to Dream with Katie Holmes and Josh Lucas, which dealt with this exact topic. Sometimes optimism isn’t a denial of reality, but rather it’s choosing to hope that something better is possible.

What dreams am I ready to manifest?

Four of Wands – Your goals of stability, security, and comfort are ready for some work towards manifestation. You have the ability to return your home to a stress free happy place now that you have brought back a housekeeper to help start getting things in order.

How can I open up to my own magic to manifest?

Knight of Swords – Focus on your ambitions and be a little impulsive. Just make sure you are moving in the right direction.

New Moon advice from the Minoan Goddess Amalthea.

Knight of Wands Rx – Take your time.

An Open Mind Requires an Open Heart

Today’s meditation was skipped.

Ideal Soulmate Tarot - Four of CupsToday’s draw is the Four of Cups, which is traditionally a representation of stability, ease, structure, shelter, and taking time to reassess, as well as cloistering and stagnation in the area of emotions, creativity, relationships, and intuition.

The imagery in this card is very classic RWS, and yet there’s something very sulky and unhappy in that side-eye that the figure has going on as he sits there with his chin in his hand. This makes the card feel like it’s not so much about reflection and contemplation, but… sour grapes. In fact this guy is so pissy that he can’t even see that there’s an offering in the wings just waiting for him to notice.

Today’s card is a reminder that when we allow negativity to take over and steal our focus, we lose sight of others around us that only wish us good, as well as the beautiful and generous contributions that they offer to our lives.

Epitaffio OracleWhat can I do to contribute to my relationship with myself?

Ghiaccio – Don’t look at your struggles as something to drag you down, but rather something placed before you to facilitate lifting you up.

Narancia Ghirga – Lean into others during these times, and not only will you receive a boon from your struggles, but a closer connection with those around you as well.

How can I use my past as a catalyst for personal growth?

Tiziano – Learn from communication mistakes and misunderstandings in your past to help you communicate better in the future.

Prosciutto – To communicate well, it’s important to both listen and share. Don’t close yourself off and silence your voice out of fear or lack of self confidence as you often did in your youth.

Philosophical Question for February 15th
: Where does self-worth come from?

Ideal Soulmate Tarot - King of Swords, King of Pentacles, Seven of Pentacles, Three of PentaclesReading Summary: Experience (King of Swords atop King of Pentacles) and long term growth (Seven of Pentacles) combined with the influence of others and what they have to teach us along the way (Three of Pentacles).

Take Away: I don’t personally think that there is only one source of where self-worth comes from or one path to its development. That said, for many, what the cards say here is true.  A lot of times it is through experience that we learn our worth.  We travel the path of our life and experience many things, learn from others along the way, and eventually feel that we have grown and developed into our own estimation of worth.

Wallowing in the Good

Today’s meditation was skipped.

Loaf Tarot - Nine of PentaclesToday’s draw is the Nine of Pentacles, which is traditionally a representation of wealth, success, and satiation in the area of one’s finances, resources, health, home, manifestations, and the physical world. This card often translates into themes that have to do with the well earned boon of hard work paying off and the gratitude that comes with this good fortune.

In the imagery of this card, that chinchilla is definitely looking full on grateful, too.

As is often the case, I see this card as a reminder to count your blessings and take stock of your accomplishments. Not just count them, though… really wallow in them and enjoy them.  It’s not enough to just recognize those things in which you have it good.  Sometimes you really have to just dive in and enjoy them to the fullest.

I’m dosing myself with Cold FX this week, since I woke up the other day with a swollen gland in my throat that turned into a sore ear, and then yesterday and today I’ve had a swollen gland in my jaw and the beginnings of a cold sore.  For me, these are usually signs I’m coming down with something. I want to hit whatever my immune system is trying to react to with a hard punch before it can grab hold.
