Slip to small
and sink on in
as comfort
is found
among
feathered fronds
thst gently cradle
aching form
and absorb
falling tears
to transform
sadness and pain
into nurturing
and growth
as drips
soak into the earth

Where does it go
that bend
in the path
what lies
just out of sight
if I follow it round
what waits
to be seen
will another bend
tease me onward
just another mile
to sate
my curiosity
another hour
to exolore
and where will I
end up

Decay slips in
within
autumnal embrace
and life is
leeched out
stolen
transformed
gifted to the green
that grows everywhere
spreading
to cover the world
in life
grown from
the crumbling bits
of what is left behind

Torn and tattered
among debris
I stand
feeling broken
in the shelter
of loving arms
as tears fall
like raindrops
to saturate
all that I see

and yet…

Look closer

that rises
eagerly
from the decay
of what has fallen
and is left behind
take time
to breathe
and watch these miracles
unfold
and discover
where true magic
lives

Tension and Discord

The frustration
eats away at the insides
like liver spots
and gangrene
on the flesh
it fills the heart
with anger that
simmers hot
at the core
and sears outward
to lick at the senses
of those undeserving

Deep breaths
don’t bank the flames
only ease the knots
temporarily
