Daily Mental Health Prompt: Seek a positive message to carry with you throughout the day and offer perspective.

The China Doll Tarot - Judgement Card and Love Affirmations

Today’s draw is the Judgement card, which is traditionally a representation of judgements, one’s inner calling and chosen life path, and looking back on one’s life to consider how they feel about the path they’ve taken and who they have become.

The Judgement card has then been combined with the “Forgiveness” card from the Love Affirmations deck, which says, “I release resentment and embrace forgiveness as the key to freedom.”

Carrying resentment with you is like carrying a toxic seed buried within your body. It is giving the person or thing that you resent room in your brain, your heart, your future, and your well-being.

Remember that the opposite of love is not hate, but indifference. Thus, to truly purge someone or something from your life, it’s important to let go of the influence they have over your emotions.

This is where forgiveness comes in. It’s not about forgetting what happened or opening yourself up to letting it happen again. It’s about purging the toxicity that lingers within after these experiences so that it can’t hurt you anymore.

The message in today’s cards is a reminder that as we move closer and closer to the end of our lives and the people that we want to become by the time we get there, part of the process is learning how to forgive and let go so that we’re not carrying these toxic moments with us any longer.

Oracle Reading with the Mushroom Folk Oracle

What I want to carry forward

Unicorn Pinkgill – Authenticity and integrity.

You are capable of everything that is presented or asked of you – this is why it is coming your way in the first place.” – Guidebook

It’s in connecting with who you truly are and what you want out of life and from yourself, that you find the strength to take on the obstacles along the way. Take care to bring authenticity and integrity with you in your journey, and you will always find the strength to keep going.

How to ensure this does not become a burden

Gnomes – Trust in others to help you along the way.

Being grateful for all the little things in life is a magical way to improve any situation, which in turn attracts more abundance.” – Guidebook

Remember that you’re not alone and that those were keeping in your life will accept you for who you are rather than wanting you to change to be someone else.

Due to your introverted nature, sometimes you feel like they’re just too many people in your life, and those people feel like responsibilities weighing up upon you. In truth, these people are an abundance in your life that can help to carry you through and help lift part of the load of responsibility off of your shoulders… if you let them.

Tarot Reading with the The China Doll Tarot and Culturae Animalis Playing Cards

I wear this armor
Nine of Hearts, Page of Pentacles top Ace of Swords, King of Clubs

Sometimes you take things slow not because that’s the speed they need to be taken, but rather because you’re worried if you don’t that you may forget something along the way that will be detrimental to your success in the end. This overly cautious behavior is a protection against “screwing up” something you want to complete perfectly.

To hide this longing
Two of Spades, The Lovers, Eight of Clubs

It’s taxing for to always be responsible for more than just yourself. That extra caution and slowness is often in order to ensure everyone is on board and you’re not forgetting anyone’s needs or wants along the way.

The secret longing you are hiding within this effort is that you want to be able to make the decisions that are best for you without the hesitation that comes with ensuring other people’s welfare as well.

Considering the Approach

My Little Pony Tarot - Nine of Wands

Daily Mental Health Prompt: Seek a positive message to carry with you throughout the day and offer perspective.

Today’s draw is the Nine of Wands, which is traditionally a representation of boundaries, defensive maneuvers, and protection of what you hold dear.

The Nine of Wands has then been combined with the Resolution card from the Love Affirmations deck, which says, “I seek resolution, turning challenges into stepping stones for our growth.”

I wonder if dealing with the sentinels that terrorize our cities might be approached in a different manner. One that puts them off guard and at ease.

Instead of ducking our heads and quickening the step, what if we nod congenially and give them a smile or a grin. Would it set them off kilter? Would it create a sense of “this guy is okay” instead of spurring the suspicion that they come wearing like a glove?

Sometimes how we approach people makes a difference, after all. Today’s cards made me wonder if this might be the case in more situations than I’ve first realized. This isn’t to say I’m comfortable testing the theory… at least not with them. Maybe with others in my life, though, yeah?

The message in today’s cards is to reflect upon how you approach challenges (and challenging people), and consider if there isn’t a better way to interact that might get you where you want to go with them with less push-back in the process.

Tarot Reading with the Mystic Cats Tarot and Essential Oil Oracle Cards

What I want to feel proud of

Three of Swords and Siberian Fir – You would like to be proud of how you handle disappointments in healthy ways.

This isn’t to say you always do, but rather that this is something you would -like- to do more of so that you can be proud of yourself for it more often.

How to connect with that sense of pride in this area

Page of Cups and Women’s – If you want to deal with disappointments in healthier ways so that you can be proud of yourself for how you handled it, you need to focus on being kind and compassionate to yourself.

Make it a point to remind yourself that you are still in the process of learning about your emotions and how to deal with them. Allow that compassion to be a part of the process, and be mindful to celebrate the small wins along the way (pink fish gave me the impression of fireworks).

: How can I be more patient in my relationships?

Tarot Reading with the My Little Pony Tarot

Reading Summary – Instead of allowing yourself to fall into the pessimistic views that are your habit (Eight of Swords) when chaos and destruction reign (The Tower), work on connecting to the nurturing side of your nature (The Empress).

Take Away – You have a tendency to save the nurturing side of your nature for others, and treat yourself to a lower standard than you do them. This harmful treatment creates disparagement in your relationships when hardships come calling, because you end up allowing that darker side you usually only safe for yourself to bleed out and start inflicting itself on others as well.

Work on turning it around in the other directly and allowing you nurturing nature to bleed out to be bestowed not just on others, but also on yourself. In doing so, it will soften the harshness that tries to come calling during times of struggle and chaos.

The Ways That Matter

Today’s meditation was skipped.

•    •    •    ◈    •    🕯️    •    ◈    •    •    •

Daily Mental Health Prompt: Seek a positive message to carry with you throughout the day and offer perspective.

Today’s draw is the Ace of Cups, which is traditionally a representation of the seed of new beginnings in the area of one’s emotions, relationships, creativity, and intuition.

The Art of Love Tarot - Ace of Cups, Ace of Hearts

The Ace of Cups has then been combined with an affirmation from the Love Affirmations deck, which says, “I savor the richness of our shared moments, creating lasting memories.”

Loving someone involves spending time together in the ways that matter. This is how you build a relationship with others that stands the test of time and all the trials that time brings with it.

The message in today’s cards is a reminder that it’s important to be mindful about spending time with those you cherish in your life. Shared time and the memories we create are the building blocks to long lasting friendships and relationships.

Disregarding this instead of being mindful of it may cause these people to fade out of our lives, lost to the past instead of a part of your present.

Tarot Activity from The One Card a Day Journal by Maria Sofia Marmanides - Potion Hunters Tarot - Wheel of Fortune card

What feelings came up when I pulled this card?

I was immediately struck with amusement and an impression of play. A flying merry-go-round in the sky.

What elements of the card’s meaning resonate with me and this prompt?

My answer to the question part of this was that I would like to be able to chase my hedonistic tendencies. (Give in to my addictions and enjoy them thoroughly, one after another and back again.)

Seeing the Wheel of Fortune appear in answer to this both encourages the imagination to stretch farther into the land of possibilities… and reminds me that there are always going to be ups and downs in any endeavors, even if there would be no bodily consequences.

What in the artwork spoke to me?

The Wheel in the image, tilted the way it is and clearly spinning, immediately draws to mind the old playground merry-go-round. I loved that thing as a kid and spent hours on it exploring the spinning and its influences depending on where you were positioned on the thing.

Note… the further out from the center you go, the harder it is to hold on and more potential to get thrown off and possibly hurt.

My prompt response and reflections.

Being able to explore my addictive tendencies to my heart’s content would be wild and fun, scary and painful… and it would be very easy to lose my center and become ungrounded, perhaps permanently. My addictive personality traits are far from just physical, after all.

Tarot Reading with The Art of Love Tarot and The Law of Attraction Cards

How I know when I need space

Four of Swords and Creative Power – When you are feeling tired and feeling uninspired, it’s time to rest and recuperate.

It’s in these down times in which you give yourself the space to rest that inspiration sparks to life once more.

How to best create the space I need during these times

Five of Pentacles and Sameness – It’s in doing the things that feel like recuperation to you personally that give you the space.

Not everyone recuperates and rests in the same way, and if you try and model your methods after others, it will always feel like you’ve come up short and aren’t getting the recuperation you need, nor bouncing back as strongly as you otherwise could. Seek out those things that are uniquely your own in how you restore yourself and your energy.
