DECK USED: THE RETURNING OF PANTHERA TAROT

Tomorrow Eight of Cups – Feeling fed up with the world is understandable now and then. Instead of being irked into stepping off, take a breath and give yourself a little extra space.

Next Week Queen of Pentacles – Get your ducks in a row as there’s rocky roads soon to come. Make sure you are making choices that shore up your stability and will give you a fighting chance to confront these challenges head on.

Next Month Ten of Swords – Lots of stress and painful endings coming to the forefront next month. Keep in mind that although this is a period of endings, but it’s not the end of the world.

DECK USED: NICOLETTA CECCOLI TAROT

Desire Nine of Swords Rx – No more depression and anxiety.

Obstacle Six of Cups – The past. The damage is done. 50% of people that have a MDE are prone to having another in their lifetime. Once you have had two, that statistic jumps to 80% that subsequent episodes will occur. At this time in your life you have had upwards of fifteen or more. This is far more than the statistical 5-9 in a lifetime estimated by the multiple Kessler studies on the subject.

Solution Four of Cups – Meditation, self care, and sticking true to what’s right for you.

DECK USED: JAPANESE ANIME TAROT

Red Light (Stop) Seven of Wands – Stop waffling and deliberating. Just pick one thing. Just one. One small thing, and get it done. Then pick another.

Yellow Light (Maybe) The High Priestess – It’s possible you might want to let L pick for you.

Green Light (Yes)The Devil – Reward yourself for the things you get done. It will make each accomplishment that much sweeter.

Pity Parties Are Not Productive

Today’s meditation was skipped.

Kittycorn TarotToday’s draw is the Eight of Swords, which is traditionally a representation of willful ignorance, self imposed struggle or restraint, self limiting beliefs, negative inner narratives, self pity, and victimized mentality.

The imagery in today’s car is about drama… so much drama.  It’s about the idea that when you are too wrapped up in the drama, it can blind you to the truth of the situation and the world around you as a whole.

Don’t allow feelings of upheaval, self pity, and negativity hold you back from seeing the path forward.  Take a moment to breathe and untangle yourself from the drama and upheaval it causes within you, so that you can look at things more clearly.

Question: How can I foster more motivation to get things done in my life?

Vintage Cartoon Post Card Set and Japanese Anime TarotReading Summary: There is a lot of color in the base card for today’s reading. The other cards in the reading are then bringing certain colors to the forefront in the base card. Usually it’s the base card that determines where connections in color lie and the satellite cards then work off of that base card. Here we see it is the other way around.

The Three of Wands in the Six of Wands connect on their own due to their similar color scheme, the arc of stars in each card’s background, and the fact that out of all the characters present in this reading they are the only two not looking directly at the viewer. This then connects with Sailor Moon herself and the skirt of the Sailor Mars character on the right.  The combination of S Moon and S Mars, joined with these two cards, speaks of finding a balance between one’s inner compass and what social expectations.

The Magician is blue dominant, and connects with the Sailor Mercury on the left in Sailor Moon’s entourage. The two characters even have a similar smile.  Sailor Mercury’s personality is quite timid, quiet, and peace loving. Connected to the Magician card, we see here a need to keep one’s ego in check.

Furthermore, the character in the Six of Wands it’s looking directly up into the Sailor Moon card and all of the characters collected there, drawing attention to the fact that comrade can be a powerful motivator. The Three of Wands, meanwhile, is looking away and towards the past as if to say you can’t depend on others for everything when following your own path.

Take Away: The answer in these cards is that in order to foster the motivation needed in your life right now, you need to not depend on yourself alone.  Yes, some of it needs to come from within and with the knowledge that you are capable and strong, and able to reach for and accomplish the things you need to do.  But there is also another part that needs the input of your social circle, the help of others in lifting you up and sparking that motivational fire within.  It’s a balance of both that is needed here.

The #ConnectWithYourDeckChallenge Prompt by E Roebuck-Jones
Questions for May 16th and 17th

Kittycorn TarotWhat loss do you fear the most?

The Sun and Eight of Pentacles – I fear the depression coming in and stealing away everything that I’ve worked so hard for in life. It’s so easy when you’re in the pit and there is no light and it looks like there is no future for anything except the darkness you feel eating away at you inside to give in and let go. Should I give in and let go I would lose everything.

This isn’t about suicide, although I’ve had far more than enough of that urge in my past. It’s about giving up and just allowing the depression to swallow me whole, which in turn would cause my life to implode.

What is a better way to confront and/or deal with fear of loss?

Six of Swords and King of Cups – It doesn’t have to be a solitary value and you need to move away from a mindset that tries to convince you you have to do it on your own. Lean into those who support you emotionally and will be there to help you stay as balanced and stable as possible during these times.

Daily Self Kindness

I am playing catch up at the moment, so I don’t exactly remember what my self care was for today.  It was my second day in my time off, though.
