📆 Transitioning from February to March

Month End Tarot Reading with Britt's Third Eye Tarot

Here and Now I Exist – Who you are now, in your entirety.

Ace of Cups atop The Chariot – You are diligently working at taking charge of your emotional health and keeping things positive. You’ve made it to March without a depressive episode taking over for the first time in years and you are working to preserve and nurture this new leaf you’ve turned over.

The Slough – What is to be left in the past as you move forward.

Six of Pentacles atop Ten of Swords – Shit happens, as do failures. Don’t be so harsh on yourself during these times. Instead, practice a little generosity with yourself and leave those failures behind you instead of rehashing them again and again.

What Lies Ahead – An ideal state or ideal self you are seeking at this time.

Seven of Cups atop Ten of Cups – It would be wonderful to return to a feeling of gratitude for all the options and opportunities you are presented with instead of feeling overwhelmed by them.

Limitations – Negative influences, opposition, or ill will.

King of Wands – Don’t push so hard. You don’t need to prove to anyone how invested you are in those things that are important to you… you don’t even have to prove it to yourself.

The Boon – Positive influences, higher guidance, or divine intervention.

The Hanged Man – Work on seeing the things you are passionate about from a different perspective than that burning need for advancement and success. What drew you to them in the first place? Work at recapturing this perspective rather than the less exciting ones you currently entertain.

The Wound – An unpleasant past experience or event that is ripe for some support and healing.

The Moon – Feelings of uncertainty need moments of fear and vulnerability. These feelings don’t need to lead you into a dark pit.

Nostalgia – A positive past experience or event to acknowledge, reflect upon, and enjoy.

Two of Pentacles – Remember the reasons and purposes behind why you started on your journey to seek a better work/life balance. It can align you back to your goals and help you stay on track.

A Warning – Something coming that can be prevented or overcome.

Four of Swords – Unintended down time. Take care of yourself and don’t allow yourself to fall into unhealthy stagnancy. Healthy rest only.

Empowerment – A future opportunity to work toward.

Ace of Swords – Communicate. Open up to others and, in doing so, you seize the opportunity to have more control over your life.

Message from the Spirit World – When you stand back and really look and listen, you see much more than you would normally. Make sure that you share your observations with others. Don’t keep it to yourself.

Message from the Mind’s World – Keep in mind that you can’t find happiness if you’re too busy trying to bury yourself under the weight of failures and responsibility.

Message from the Physical World – You cannot plow forward full steam ahead if you can’t see where you are going. Seek some balance and you’ll get much farther in the long run.

Valuing Other’s Opinions

Today’s meditation was skipped.

The Cats of Arx Tarot - Six of WandsToday’s draw is the Six of Wands, which is traditionally a representation of vitality, pride, self-confidence, public admiration or accolades,  and external support in the area of one’s passions, drive, willpower, and ambitions. It can also represent peer pressure, although I don’t see that represented here in this specific card’s imagery.

Look at that cat giving a wink and a bow. He knows he’s done good and has just a bit of boast in his swagger.

I love the bit of pride shown in this card.  It’s fun and flirtatious instead of stuffy or stiff.  The appearance of this card today is a reminder that its okay to take pride in the things you do well. Accept compliments with grace instead of brushing them off, for when you do so, other’s admiration continues to grow because you’re valuing their opinion instead of discarding it.

Daily Self Kindness

It was a pretty rough day, but instead of coming home and crashing out, I gave myself what I really needed, which was some time with Gid in which to unwind and catch my breath.

Carpe Diem Lenormand Reading

Carpe Diem Lenormand Reading with the Under the Roses Lenormand

How can I accept freedom today?

Mice and Gentlemen – Don’t accept the influences of those that make you feel diminished. You have enough negative influences going on within you to deal with and combat… outside influences need to roll off your back like raindrops on a slicker instead of eating into you and creating wounds that refuse to heal.

How can I accept joy today?

Crossroads and Clock Tower – This is a choice that you have to make by yourself for yourself.  No one can make it for you, and no one can -do- it for you either.  It’s a gift that you can only give yourself, a choice only you can make.

How can I make the most of today?

Anchor and Child – Use grounding and your responsibilities to keep your less responsible impulses at bay today. You have a handful of things to make sure you get done today so don’t let yourself go wandering so far down the primrose path that you forget about them.

Ideas and Innovation

Today’s meditation was skipped.

Tarot Skrytych Svetu - Shadowscapes Tarot - Ace of SwordsToday’s draw is the Ace of Swords, which is traditionally a representation of the seed of new beginnings in the area of one’s intellect, education, ambitions, thoughts, and communication.

This often translates into themes that have to do with new ideas and interests, new contacts or ways to communicate with others, or new interests or educational pursuits.

The key aspect of this card that directs what I see in its message is that those that surround the blade are all swans and butterflies.  It’s not a menagerie, but rather an inner circle of winged friends.

The message in today’s card is a reminder to take time today to share your ideas with those around you that are a part of your inner circle. There’s a lot of things you can do to help those you care about, so don’t let moments of innovation remain silent and personal.  Share them with others instead.

Daily Self Kindness

I spent time with Gideon on his birthday today, and it felt really good.

Don’t Forget the Dog

Today’s meditation was skipped.

Pastoral Tarot - Six of SwordsToday’s draw is the Six of Swords, which is traditionally a representation of moving on, leaving behind difficulty for something better, and letting go.

Unlike the Eight of Cups, which has a similar theme but with an emotional aspect involved, in the Swords suit this theme is about strategy and logic. It’s about finding a better path for who you are and what you want, and leaving behind struggle and hardship in the process.

Here in this card we see a full family on their way, and their boat is empty of luggage.  They may not have taken goods or physical items with them, but they remembered what’s truly important.  They remembered the full family, including the dog.

Today’s card is a reminder that when looking to leave behind something that’s not working for you… don’t forget to take the love and loyalty along.  Everything else is expendable when it comes right down to it.

I took a 3 hour nap today. I didn’t mean to, but it happened and I’m trying my best not to feel negatively toward myself about it.

❤️ Self Care Saturday (On a Sunday)

These Saturday readings are (not usually) bearing in on any one thing or event in my life, as the question used is asking for a more general outlook. This is a self care exercise, and is not meant as a predictive reading… although that, too, happens on occasion.

The question is… What do I need to focus for self-care through the week ahead?

Self Care Saturday Tarot Reading with the Victorian Romance Tarot and Under the Roses Lenormand

EarthStrength – You will be able to get others on board with what you want more easily this week if you make sure to look at things from their perspective instead of your own when trying to persuade them.

AirTen of Swords – All is not lost, even when things look like they’re at their worst. If you fall down, just take a moment to catch your breath and allow others to soothe your wounds before trying to rise again.

WaterThe Star – Optimism is an important element to keeping you out of depression’s pit. Don’t allow your emotions this week to pull you out of hope’s reach.

FireTemperance Rx – You may need to push a little bit to get caught up after the setbacks from last week.

WaningChild and Dog – J needs a little time on his own to figure out what he’s going to do. Give him the space he needs this week. He’ll be back when he’s ready.

WaxingAnchor and Mice – Things are going to be feeling a bit less stable this week, as stress and other influences eat away at your feelings of stability and security.

Take Away – Don’t let the need to push and get things done disrupt your efforts to keep yourself uplifted.  Optimism and positivity have a valuable place in your life to help you find balance… even during times when  you need to work a bit more and push a bit harder.
