#dailytrip with the Calm app - Instead of fighting with your confusion, can you forgive yourself for it? Jeff Warren quoteToday’s meditation was eleven minutes long, and was one of the #DailyTrip sessions from the Calm app.

Today’s session was about “The Boggle”, which is to say that it was about that time when you can’t shut your brain up and it’s filled with a tangle of thoughts and confusion that is impossible to sort out.

During these times, it can be especially challenging to meditate, and an important part of today’s session was treating yourself kindly during these moments, instead of admonishing yourself for not doing “good enough” at clearing your mind and finding peace in your meditation practice.

The session encourages seeing meditation is a practice. As something you do again and again to work on improving at over time, not something you have to be good at from the start, or even after working at it for years.

In your case, passion and enthusiasm is often catching.  You enthusiasm for those things you are passionate about not only ignites the spark of inspiration in yourself, but within others as well.

That fire of creative spirit within you is often enough to light up the world, and when you share it with others it brings others into the wonder of what you see and they wish to experiences that passion as well.

Prompts for April 14th: Do Spread 2
Question: How can I maintain a positive outlook and cultivate a sense of faith in my journey?

Tarot of the Golden Wheel - Knight of Swords, The Fool, Nine of Swords, Six of WandsReading Summary: The green in the Nine of Swords is very muted and a near perfect match for the anchor card. Connecting these two, you have an all-seeing-eye at the center of the anchor card, and someone shirking away from it in the Nine of Swords. This connects with the addition of the Six of Wands through a joined “performance” and “anxiety” over being watched themes.

In the Fool, the green is still a match for the anchor card, but more vibrant. It’s speaks of cutting loose and relishing in the attention of those watching on. The more you choose to enjoy it, the more vibrant you will feel. The Fool then atop the Knight of Swords, with the knight charging towards the anchor card and seeming focused on its all-seeing-eye speaks of reckless abandon, regardless… or perhaps even because of those watching.

Take Away: Performance anxiety has always been a problem for you. Throw caution to the wind and charge forward anyway, embracing a carefree and even reckless attitude to carry you through.  Don’t let naysayers, or even your own anxiety, get in the way.

Finding Your Spark

Today’s meditation was skipped.  I can’t remember why. I’m playing catch up at the moment and I didn’t take notes for the day.

Alchemia Tarot and How to Be a Wildflower DeckToday’s draw is the Page of Wands, which is a traditional representation of a receptive omega energy, personality, or person in the area of one’s enthusiasm, drive, willpower, and determination. This often translates into themes that have to do with budding enthusiasm, exploration of new inspiration, and potential that is fed by the inner fire that feeds our determination and enthusiasm.

Combined with the affirmation card for today, the message here is about finding those things that light your fire.  The things in life that create a sense of enthusiasm and spark within you a sense of energized inspiration.  We all have those things, although sometimes it can be harder to find them than others.    These are the things that create light and brightness in our lives, and make life a joy.

The Page speaks of beginnings, and thus the message is to keep searching for new things that can create this feeling for you, and brighten your life as a result.

How I look at things is unique, and although I sometimes feel as if sharing my journey lands on deaf ears, the truth is that there are other people that need to hear how I navigate this journey and the different perspectives that I discover and develop along the way.

Self Care atop Open Minded, The Star

Seeing self-care as an essential, instead of as an indulgence and treating it as such. Although I often go through the actions of self-care even when I’m not feeling up to it, my mind is often closed to the idea that it is something that is needed for my well-being and to keep me float on a more positive vein and away from the depression pit, rather than something that I just do because I’m supposed to.

What can I do to grow from my current manifestations?
Intermingle atop Acceptance, Eight of Bones

Spend more time with others while they are doing their own thing and encourage them in their endeavors. The summer has been a lot about connecting with those around you rather than sinking deeper into yourself, and in order to really bring this theme home you need to continue to spend time with them and allow them to broaden your horizons. Don’t retreat.

What tools or awareness can empower my current focus?
Seek atop Effort, Five of Crystals

Patience. Sometimes the things you seek take effort and time to accomplish. Don’t allow yourself to become discouraged and your perspective to change to one scarcity and loss instead of determination and forward thinking.  Don’t give up just because it’s difficult or it’s taking a long time to get there.

Flower Evolution Card Deck and Alchemia TarotUse Your Logic With This – Pomegranate Flower and Five of Wands – at this time you’re having a lot of anxiety, and emotions that was stirred up and set out of balance or your experience with PayPal. Sinking into those emotions and letting them ride you just because you want to fight for what you feel is right and feel as if they have overstepped it’s not going to resolve these issues. You need to use logic and look at things logically, remember that you weren’t really using them for anything important anymore anyway, and this is in no way a threat to your business regardless of what your feelings are telling you.

Use Your Intuition With This – Lilac and Knight of Cups – Getting what you want out of life, isn’t always about logic and strategy, but about flexibility and intuition.Knowing what you want is half the battle, but going after it is another thing entirely. Sometimes I think she really wants take more than drive and determination as you rigidly go along a preset path. Instead you need to be adaptable, and use your intuition to know when it’s time to shift your weight or adjust course in order to get to where you want to go.

Today was an orders day and I’m pulling an all nighter in order to get everything done.  I’ve been making sure to eat every two hours, in order to ensure I don’t have a blood sugar crash.
