It’s Good Enough

#DailyCalm with the Calm appToday’s meditation was ten minutes long, and one of the #DailyCalm sessions from the Calm app.  The subject of the session had to do with getting stuck in the past and how, when we allow ourselves to get stuck in the past, whether that be in good memories or bad ones.

It discussed how when we do this, we then set ourselves up to repeat old patterns… as opposed to experiencing new things should we cast our gaze to the present instead.

These cards are a reminder that you don’t have to be perfect, and you don’t have to pick on yourself to make yourself be perfect either.  They are about reminding yourself of the person you want to become, rather than picking apart every little thing you are doing in the present.

This is one of those things that I personally struggle a great deal with.  Learning how to say something is “good enough” rather than constantly trying to “one up” my best is something I’ve been working on for a few years now. To tell me that I am “doing my best” or to “do your best” is a death trap, as my best is far -more- than is often necessary.  Giving something my all means that I’m going to work at it and pick at it until it is as close to perfection as humanly possible to achieve… which is not healthy.

Learning to embrace “good enough” is a far better goal.

Little things that you can do that involve applying your skills to, in order to guide things in the direction of the end goal you seek.

Wheel of Fortune and Nourish – You are beginning to be more consistent with giving encouragement to nourish yourself and care for yourself no matter if things are up or down. Struggles should not supersede self-care, and you have an opportunity in this time of awakening to continue to improve in this area.

I took my theracane back from Ms B’s house.  I had loaned it to her during her shoulder’s recovery, but she hasn’t used it in a while and I need it back to help with my lats and thoracis muscles.

#DailyCalm from the Calm appToday’s meditation was ten minutes long, and was one of the #DailyCalm sessions from the Calm app. The topic of the meditation was about our past experiences and memories, and how it is important to to not look back at our pasts with regret, but view those things that one might look upon with regret as lessons instead.

Yes, we all fuck up.  Yes, we all make mistakes… sometimes we wrong others and sometimes we wrong ourselves.  Sometimes we trust who we shouldn’t or do things we know are wrong.

It’s important to move on from these experiences (and their consequences) and learn from them rather than just carry on the bad feelings from them and never learn a thing.

Generosity goes beyond others wants and needs, and needs to involve yourself as well. Sometimes all others need from you is a little of your time, but in order to feel stable and balanced? Sometimes that’s what you need from you as well.

These cards are a reminder that you cannot give to others when you have nothing left to give, and in order to avoid having nothing left to give? You have to take care of yourself.  No one wants you to stop taking care of yourself… not even for them, so stop pushing yourself to do just that.

Trust atop Surrender, Four of Wands – Return your focus towards home, and nothing is so much more “home” than the one you love. There is a give and take to the balance you have with with him. There is trust in the drown… trust in the surrender to him. And it’s there that you find your true home.

It’s through this balance with him that you allow yourself to feel stable. Even when there are subdrops… maybe even especially then.

Patience and Ace of Pentacles – Breathe through this new experience with your business and have patience both with yourself and the business as a whole. It’s new and scary, but it doesn’t have to be all bad and it won’t last forever.
