Today’s draw is the Three of Wands, which is traditionally a representation of the first active step in a journey, progress towards a goal, and the seizing of opportunities.

The Three of Wands has then been combined with an affirmation card from the Sinister Affirmations deck, which says, “There is no rule that says you can’t be a captivating forest pixie and an intimidating ancient hell goddess. Hecate had three forms. You needn’t commit to just one.”

Pick and choose the paths  you decide to follow in life.  You can be more than one thing.  A mother and a boss. A boyfriend and an advocate. An entrepreneur and a nature enthusiast.  We all wear many hats, the important part is to be active in choosing which hats you decide to wear.

The message in today’s cards is a reminder that the life you are living belongs to you, and the hats you decide to wear? Are your decision.  If one of them isn’t fitting right? It’s okay to trade it out for something else, or even set it aside instead of continuing on with what isn’t working. Today’s message encourages us to carefully curate out lives, like a gallery of most loved artwork.  Each path a piece a fit for our unique needs, wants, and likes.

Spirits Prompt for October 25th : What guidance do your ancestors have to offer you at this time?

Tarot Reading with the Tarot Apokalypsis DeckReading Summary: Starting over is never easy, and can always be confusing (imagery in the Ace of Pentacles). It can be worse, though, if you allow your emotions to start overriding good sense (Ace of Cups atop Eight of Swords).  Leaning on your emotions alone will blind you to pitfalls and lead in the direction of failure (Nine of Pentacles Rx).

Take Away: Learning to moderate your emotions is difficult, and it’s a long and arduous process. Now that they are set loose instead of being buried, they have a tendency to try and take the lead.

Make sure that you are staying connected to what’s going on, so that you can step outside of those emotional influences and allow other factors to come into play in your decision making, actions, and reactions.

What is an area of anxiety in my life, and how can I best approach this distress?

Today’s meditation was ten minutes long, and one of the #DailyCalm sessions in the Calm app.

The focus for the meditation session for today was on perfectionism and how important it is to focus so hard on perfectionism that you become unkind to yourself in the process. It encouraged focusing on acceptance, gentle, and self-compassion, rather than always trying to push yourself to the limit.

Today’s draw is the Look Around card combined with the affirmation “I am a candy cat, not a scaredy cat.”

Those things that feel intimidating to you can often cause you to retreat within and close yourself off to your environment and others around you.

If you take the energy you are using to close yourself off to instead connect with others and engage with your environment, your fears will ease and those things that intimidate you will no longer have so much power over you.

Cthulhu Mythos Tarot - Six of Wands, Seven of Pentacles, Three of WandsReading Summary: There is no more need to please others (Six of Wands Rx), just a reaping of what we’ve sown throughout the length of our life (Seven of Pentacles) that determines your movement in a new direction (Three of Wands).

Take Away: Whether you believe in heaven and hell, reincarnation, ghosts and spirits, or any other sort of direction after death, these cards indicate that there are definitely places to go.  The cards also indicate that where you go concerning those options is based upon what you’ve done with yourself and your growth in your life.

These cards say that what happens after death is all about reaping what you’ve sown, and indicate that what waits for us on the other side is dependent upon not just what we believe, but also the lessons we learn and the seeds we’ve sown in our lives up to that point.

Spooky Halloween Cat Oracle and Tarot of the Sweetest Twilight - Five of Cups, Knight of Wands, The HermitFive of Cups and Choose a New Direction – You can’t just run away from shit when it feels difficult or impossible. You can, however, change direction when needed. Just make sure that when you shift direction, it’s to find resolution, and not running away from a problem.

The Hermit and Improving Health – Your need for alone time is well-known, and is something that makes you feel balanced and less stressed. Remember that when add in spending that alone time outside, you have tendency to improve both physically and mentally.

Knight of Wands and Be Aware – Take stock of your motivations and why you are driven in a certain direction as you move forward. Don’t forget to glance down once in a while and make sure your feet are still on the ground. Be realistic in your efforts and endeavors.  It’s okay to dream, but you need that grounding in your life to help you find stability.

Queen of Wands - Tarot of Mystical MomentsMystical Moments Tarot – She stands tall and holds steady a beacon for others to follow. The moths are drawn to that glowing beacon, inspired by her presence and her holding the sunflower aloft.

This card speaks of those that inspire us, and how that inspiration can draw is in like moths to a flame. It asks us where is inspiration sparking for us right now?  If you aren’t seeing that light to follow, maybe it’s time to start looking.

Queen of Wands - Cthulhu Mythos Tarot, Diabolik Tarot, Lost Hollow Tarot

Cthulhu Mythos Tarot – Surrounded and embraced by tentacles from below, this Queen holds within her an orb of energy that glows at solar plexus level.  This card speaks of being strong in one’s leadership of others.  Sometimes when we inspire others, its important to keep them on track rather than letting them just go off and do their own thing.  This card asks the question… where in your passion projects are you in need of more focus?

Diabolik Tarot – What would you do for her? To be her… or to possess her? The femme fatale has been an inspiration and motivation to many a thief, criminal,  and hero alike. She inspires them to leap forward and dive into the fray, to break the law and do amazing things.  This card speaks of being not just inspired but motivated by someone else.  It warns that you need to remember to make the choice to act based upon your own character, or whoever is motivating you will take those choices out of your hands.

Lost Hollow Tarot – Dark and mysterious, this Queen walks among a field of sunflowers at night. She is a beacon of light in the darkness, the sunflowers behind her speaking of hope and success within the encroaching darkness, if you are willing to brave the dark to follow her lead. This card says that sometimes finding inspiration is not easy or for the weak of heart, but takes courage and an intrepid spirit.
