Wayhome Tarot - Three of Cups

Daily Mental Health Prompt: Seek a positive message to carry with you throughout the day and offer perspective.

Today’s draw is the Three of Cups, which is traditionally a representation of friendships, revelry, celebration, and collaboration between those that are linked or alike not just in mind but also in heart.

The Three of Cups has then been combined with an affirmation from the Affirmators! Morning Mantras deck, which says, “Today I’ll notice all the little ways I’m loved, nurtured, and support supported.”

Although the trip that you’re on right now isn’t necessarily entirely yours, that doesn’t mean that you can’t find ways in which to enjoy yourself by connecting with those that are along for the ride with you.

Go out of your way to have a little fun and foster connections with your travel mates. Then take the time to actually recognize and acknowledge not just the fun being had, but also the love, caring, and support you have with those currently at your side.

The message in today’s cards is a reminder that the day doesn’t have to be as dark and dismal and crappy as you think it’ll be. That’s your negative inner narratives talking, and if you let it? It’ll set a pall over the entire day. Remember that sometimes you just have to change it up yourself instead of expecting it to change on its own or not to change at all.

Tarot Reading with the Guardian Angel Tarot and Oracolo di Madre Natura

What do you need to take more pride in?

Ox-Eye Daisy, Ten of Cups, Common Ivy – You have a great deal of skill when it comes to clearing the path towards a place of contentment and happiness.

This is an area where you have recently felt as if you have lost your sense of pride, though, especially during the events that happened last Autumn with your business. As a result, you are feeling more listless and less inspired of late.

Feeling hemmed in and powerless is repressing this quality in you, allowing it to be smothered. That doesn’t mean it’s gone. It’s just hard to get worked up and excited about things when there’s no fresh air to breathe.

How can you foster a greater sense of pride in this area?

Bear’s Ear, Queen of Cups, Common Stock – Utilize Spring’s energies to help you nurture back into fruition this skill that you have lost faith in.

Nurturing in this area requires turning one’s energy, efforts, and attention towards its revitalization. Recognize your ability to thrive, even during times when the road is rough. Allow these past experiences to bolster your confidence. This type of nurturing will help you to rebuild what last Autumn’s experience took from you.

Prompt No. 7 : What habits help me feel grounded, even if they’re small?

Tarot Reading with the Wayhome Tarot

Daughter of Cups – Reminding myself that I am still a novice when it comes to my emotions. Remembering that there is a lot that I don’t understand, and that I also don’t need to understand everything… just experience it.

There’s nothing to “fix” and nothing to “do” when it comes to these emotions. I just need to acknowledge I’m feeling them and resist the urge to try to shove them into a dark corner somewhere.

Ace of Swords – Writing down my new ideas as they come to me. So often in the past I’ve always tried to just remember… and ended up forgetting. Even simple little things that seem like common sense or something really ridiculously easy to remember.

By writing them down, it gives me a sense of security that I’m not going to forget something important or miss out on something that would’ve been a good idea if I’d only managed to remember it when I needed it or have the time for it.

The Sun – Positivity and optimism practices. I don’t always see the results of these practices, but other people do. Others have noticed, even when they don’t realize what I’ve been doing, or what has changed, and they comment on it. That means these practices are working, even if I’m not personally able to see it directly. There’s still success there.

The Greater Secrets Tarot - The Lovers card

Daily Mental Health Prompt: Seek a positive message to carry with you throughout the day and offer perspective.

Today’s draw is The Lovers card, which is traditionally a representation of love and relationships, long term contracts, harmonious unions, and making choices that are geared toward what is best for you.

Has then been combined with a card from the Affirmators! Morning Mantras deck, which says, “Kindness is magic. So today I’m gonna make like a drunken wizard and cast ‘Friendium to Strangerus!’ spells all over the place.”

How many friends do we really need in our lives?

This brings to mind for me something that a true friend (that has since sadly passed on) taught me years and years ago. He said that the word “friend” is a cherished and sacred title that should not be handed out willy-nilly to everyone. Instead, most people fall into the “acquaintance” category.

You can have general acquaintances, trusted acquaintances, and all different kinds of acquaintances. None of these adjectives attached to the word “acquaintance” make this person a friend.

Furthermore, naming these people as acquaintances instead of friends does not negate their importance to you in your life. It’s just that the “friend” title should be reserved for those in your life that you would help hide a dead body if they needed it. It holds within it an unconditional quality that is usually related to (and sought after in) romantic love.

With this in mind, how many friends do we really need? I think under this context, as long as we have at least one, we’re doing better than most of the population.

The message in today’s cards is to encourage us to look at our relationships with other people through a more practical lens, and be discerning with who you let into your closest circle.

The Aries Season Spread
By @onyerbroom

Aries Season Oracle Reading with The Shaman's Oracle

Frustration rising?

Shaman of Foresight – You are not used to being unable to see where things are going in life. The ability to predict trajectories, as well as surprise deviations within those trajectories, is a lifelong skill that you are used to practicing regularly. Unfortunately, at this moment in your life, there are a lot of things going on that you are unable to get a grip on the trajectory concerning and predict with accuracy.

Confidence needed?

Spirit of Challenge atop Dancer of Friendship – Lean into support that is offered by your friends and loved ones when you are feeling challenged by life. These moments of unpredictability and challenge make life feel as if it is far more difficult than it has to be. You can gain more confidence by leaning into your friendships for not just measurable support in the physical sense, but also emotional support and encouragement.

Impatience showing?

Dancer of Inspiration – You’ve been struggling under a lack of creative inspiration lately, and you are starting to display a good deal of impatience with yourself concerning this issue. Remember that stagnancy causes rust and decay… if you want inspiration to spark, then movement is needed.

Action calling?

Shaman of Song – You can’t dance without music. Make sure that you are communicating with those that can encourage you to do things instead of languishing. Their encouragement has the ability to guide you to a healthier place within yourself.

This doesn’t necessarily mean they have to push you to do the things that they want to do, but accept that they are doing their best to get you moving… which is the first step in creating the spark of enthusiasm.

Direction now?

Spirit of Destruction – The cards above are encouraging a change towards movement in order to spark enthusiasm, confidence, and motion that will help you move forward instead of sitting stagnant. If you do not take this advice and continue upon your current path, more in your life is going to fall apart, and you will continue to struggle with drowning in the mire of your inaction.

Prompt No. 5

Tarot Reading with The Greater Secrets Tarot

What parts of my personality have I put on the back burner?

The Tower and Three of Swords – Your pessimistic attitude and inner narratives; or, at least you’re trying to put this on the back burner.

You’ve always had a tendency to be very pessimistic and see the worst in any situation, as well as have an idea where these situations might go that could make the situation even worse. In this way, you’ve always somewhat protected yourself from disappointment by anticipating the worst to come from the start.

Over the last few years you have been working towards establishing a greater sense of hope and optimism into your life. It’s not easy, but you’re working on it. This process involves setting pessimism and negativity to the back in order to allow yourself to focus on your more positive efforts.

What interests have I put on the back burner?

The High Priestess and Knight of Swords – Practicality has really taken the wheel of late, perhaps to the point where it’s a bit out of control. This means that you’re not listening as closely to your intuition as you could be lately, because you’ve been prioritizing reason and logic over that inner whisper.

As the Self-Care Saturday reading for this week mentioned, perhaps now is a good time to change this and begin to once more start leaning into your intuition, setting the logic and reason side of things on the back burner, reducing it’s position in the hierarchy of priorities.

Daily Mental Health Prompt: Seek a positive message to carry with you throughout the day and offer perspective.

The Re-Ection of Tarot - Queen of Pentacles

Today’s draw is the Queen of Pentacles, which is traditionally a representation of a receptive alpha energy, personality, or person in the area of one’s resources, financial stability, health, home, labors, manifestations, or other aspects of the physical realm. This often translates into a supportive or nurturing energy or entity in the areas of one’s health, home, and financial responsibilities.

The Queen of Pentacles has then been combined with an affirmation from the Affirmators! Morning Mantras deck, which says, “I radiate patience like a GD guru. (Mostly because I’m too exhausted this morning for tantrums)”

(I am embarrassed to confess I had to go look up what “GD” means to figure out it means goddamn. Bless those who put this type of information out there on the internet for old farts like me.)

My mornings are… well, pretty much identical from one day to the next. I wake up in pain, I get dressed, I eat and feed Miss Luna. I race to work. I work. I come home and shower and eat again. I do my physio/yoga and meditate. I do readings (for myself and for my clients). I eat again. From there? The day splinters off into different things depending on what’s needed or what’s scheduled from driving a few hours to go visit an elderly friend (or cross the Canadian border) to doing a shift or two at other jobs I hold down, to working on my business at home, etc. The mornings though? They all start off the same.

I don’t have time to be an ass. I don’t have time to be grumpy. I don’t have the energy to waste time on anything, which includes being unable to check my phone. And oddly? I like this stability and sameness. I’m not sure I could handle it in my entire day, but starting my day off with a stable daily routine helps me feel like each day is a little less chaotic.

The message in today’s cards asks us to consider what we might change or add to our lives to foster a greater sense of stability in our day to day? Maybe not checking the phone until you’re out of bed, or setting up a specific morning routine. Perhaps just stepping out on the balcony each morning for a breath of fresh air and a sip of tea or coffee. What might make your mornings a little better each day? And, in doing them each day, have the effect of encouraging your day to feel a bit better as well.

Tarot Reading with Luna's Little Twin Stars Tarot and The Purring Prophet Oracle

What good is ready to come into bloom in your life with the approach of Spring?

The Hanged Man and Window Bird – You will be given the opportunity to slip back into a mental space where you can more easily understand the perspectives of others.

Sometimes when things are feeling chaotic, you have a tendency to step back from your observation of others and your efforts to understand what lies beyond yourself. These are moments in which you temporarily lose an important part of yourself.

The peace and pause that is coming your way will allow you to reclaim this part of yourself once more, giving you the space necessary to begin reaching for that greater sense of understanding your pursuit of alternate perspectives provides.

What can you do to encourage the arrival of this good?

Eight of Wands Rx and The Camera – Go slow and use these moments of slowness to ensure that you’re doing what you want, instead of simply performing for others wants and desires.

Others may take your slowing down as an opportunity for them to monopolize more of your time. Make sure that you have boundaries in place that will not allow this to happen. Your time and attention is your own… it does not belong to them to do with as they wish.

: What decision am I ready to make?

Tarot Reading with The Re-Ection of Tarot

Reading Summary: To actively move forward (Knight of Wands) into a more self-serving mindset that leaves behind (Seven of Swords) your defensive feelings (Nine of Wands beneath Ace of Cups).

Take Away: The feelings from last fall in the “being picked on” variety have been hard to shake off as things continue to not go in the direction that you want them to. Part of the reason for this is because you are not being self-serving enough in your actions to resolve the problem.

Instead of hanging back and allowing your defensive emotions to take the wheel, it’s time to step forward and act in your best interests.

Set aside what isn’t working anymore, and move forward in the direction of your wants and needs with a selfish intensity.
