❤️ Self Care Saturday (On a Sunday)
These Saturday readings are (not usually) bearing in on any one thing or event in my life, as the question used is asking for a more general outlook. This is a self care exercise, and is not meant as a predictive reading… although that, too, happens on occasion.
The question is… What do I need to focus for self-care through the week ahead?
Earth – The Fool – Give yourself permission to fuck off a bit this week. Not everything has to be so serious all the time.
Air – Queen of Chaos – Often, other people see chaos while you see opportunity. Instead of keeping this perspective to yourself, help them see the opportunities as well.
Water – Ace of Cups – New emotions don’t have to be scary. They can also be an opportunity for growth, if you’re willing to sit with them for a bit.
Fire – Ace of Wands – Make sure that you’re watching for those opportunities in chaos, instead of discarding them out of hand. There’s more there on offer than you might see at first glance.
Waning – Ship and Fox – Instead of trying to direct the boat, just go along for the ride. Nothing you do at this time is going to manipulate a better outcome or result.
Waxing – Clouds and Book – Don’t be lazy. If you don’t know something, do the research. It’ll be worth the dig.
Take Away – Be proactive in showing others the opportunities that they are missing, as you go along for the ride this week. Don’t try to push anything one way or another. There’s no need to be stubborn or to be in control this week. Instead, use this week to observe and have a little fun.

Crone Prompt for October 18th : Legacy
Daily Mental Health Prompt: Seek a positive message to carry with you throughout the day and offer perspective.
Today’s draw is the Seven of Pentacles, which is traditionally a representation of slow growth, sustainability, domestic harmony, hard work, and practicing patience while the fruits of your labors develop and take form.
The Seven of Pentacles has then been combined with a Halloween Affirmation card that says, “Like a ghost, I let go of the past and allow myself to move forward.”
It’s important to be mindful of the things that we carry forward with us. Lessons are a good thing to carry with us, wounds, and trauma… not so much. Happy memories and experience are good, but resentment is not.
We are allowed to choose. Not only what our legacy is in this world, but what this world’s legacy is upon us as well.
Today’s message is a reminder that we can learn from the past without carrying with us the festering wounds or other unhealed damage of past experiences. It’s important to focus on healing our past wounds, instead of allowing them to fester and begin to poison our present and our future.

Some who have passed on feel that they still have purpose here among the living, and thus choose to anchor themselves here instead of moving on.

Crone Prompt for October 17th : Resilience
Daily Mental Health Prompt: Seek a positive message to carry with you throughout the day and offer perspective.
Today’s draw is the Five of Wands, which is traditionally a representation of conflict, tests, trials, and struggle in the area of one’s passions, drive, determination, principles, values, and willpower.
The Five of Wands card has then been combined with an affirmation card from the Sinister Affirmations deck, which says, “Some may not like it when you start setting boundaries, but it will serve you well in the long run. Lucifer got kicked out out of his father’s house for setting boundaries, and look at him now: King of Hell. Set boundaries. Rule your domain.”
When conflict comes calling between you and others, do you fold in order to try and keep the peace? Or do you dig in your heels and stand your ground? Where do you draw the line between self sacrifice and self-care?
Resilience is an important part of survival in this world, but that quality goes beyond just surviving whatever is thrown your way. It also means setting boundaries for yourself and others so that you aren’t being taken advantage of.
The message in today’s cards is an encouragement to examine where in your life you feel you’re being taken advantage of or giving far too much of yourself. Consider how you can adjust your boundaries to stand your ground more and give yourself the love and care you need.

The Winter Garden Prompts
Weed – Jack of Diamonds, The Magician, Queen of Hearts – Those places where you lack self confidence and experience feelings of imbalance stem from an emotional base. Start digging into your emotions and it will give you the tools needed to build what will feel like a more stable foundation.
Compost – Seven of Diamonds, Nine of Wands, Six of Hearts – It’s time to get rid of the idea that over-diligence is an asset, when in reality it just retriggers old unhealthy cycles to repeat again and again.
Amend – Three of Hearts, The Sun, Jack of Spades – As comfortable as it is, and as much as you are drawn to it, solitude is not your friend. When you spend time with others, it helps lift you up. Work on not thinking of this time with others as an inconvenience, but rather as a way to brighten your inner light and keep the depression at bay.

Crypt Prompt for October 17th : What secrets are you hiding tucked away in the dark?
Reading Summary: When things fell apart at the seams in September after so many years working at building your creative business (Ten of Swords), you considered walking away from it entirely (Seven of Swords) and looking at starting something new (Page of Wands) instead of trying to recover from the blow dealt to your business. (Choices being a central theme with the Seven of Cups.)
Take Away: The secret is the fact that you considered bailing. Seriously considered it. It wasn’t a passing thought or frivolous musing, but something you spent a lot of time mulling over and almost followed through on before finding a way to help in re-sparking the flame of your hope and keep going.
