The question is… What do I need to focus for self-care through the week ahead?

EarthTen of Cups atop Eight of Pentacles Rx – You’re fixating on the cash. Remember that “they” are not taking away everything you’ve learned and accomplished. They’re just taking away your money. You can make more money, and you can find happiness that doesn’t so heavily depend on money.  Your happiness may be tied into your sense of stability and security, but those things also involve far more than just money.

AirWheel of Fortune atop Queen of Swords – Stay sharp. The wheel of uncertainty is going to slow down eventually, and you’re going to want your wits about you when it does.

WaterFour of Cups – Your regular meditation practice is helping, even if it doesn’t really feel like it. Keep it up.  Don’t worry so much about the extra sleep you’re getting, either.  It’s good for you, and you should enjoy it while you have the chance.

FireKing of Swords Rx – Keep your mouth shut and your ears open. You know nothing.

WaningHeart and Fox – There’s a wolf in sheep’s clothing within your midst. Watch for the one that is trying to use your emotions to manipulate you, and distance yourself from them for the time being.

WaxingMoon and Star – Your uncertainty during this time or understandable, just don’t allow yourself to give into the fear. Your emotional turmoil is going to need a healthy dose of optimism this week.

Take Away – No light at the end of the tunnel yet.  While you wait, make sure you pay attention to the people around you and what they’re doing, especially if you’re feeling emotional  nudges and niggles going on when around them.  Continue to pay attention to the sources you’ve been monitoring while you wait for a solution to present itself.  Keep working on that optimism and positivity… it’s working, even if you can’t see it.

Self Care Saturday Tarot Reading with the First Aid for Broken Hearts Tarot and Terra Lenormand

EarthThree of Cups atop Page of Cups – Friends help with your emotional stability. Make sure that you’re leaning on them as you learn about your emotions and how to react. They are the ones who will understand where you’re coming from when you’re struggling, as well as provide the support and encouragement you need to keep going.

AirSeven of Pentacles – Don’t let your negative inner narratives tell you that you’re not doing enough, or are unworthy of good things. Those good things may take a while to come to you, or it may be that your eyes are closed and you’re not appreciating the ones that are already there, but you are absolutely worthy of them.

WaterSix of Pentacles Rx – Allow yourself to be greedy this week and depend on the generosity of others for them to understand that sometimes you just have to do it that way for your own emotional well-being. You just can’t put everyone else first all the time. It’s not emotionally healthy for you.

FireDeath – Just stand there and watch the changes concerning your business happen this week instead of trying to adjust with them or direct them in some way. It’s okay to be an observer and wait until it’s time to rebuild, instead of struggling to try and mitigate the changes as they are happening in the moment.

WaningAnchor and Clouds – Anchoring yourself in the current shit storm means stepping away instead of hunkering down. Don’t dwell over much on the changes happening and what’s going on, just stand back and watch the show from the safe distance you have created.

WaxingBouquet and Whip – You aren’t a pushover by any stretch of the imagination, but you may want to try and file down those claws and fangs a bit this week.  The stress could make your usually congenial nature grow a few unnecessary sharp edges.

AirThe World atop Five of Swords – You’re nearing the end of a long journey. Take care not to let yourself feel defeated or let your inner narrative tell you that you are. You’re actually winning, even if it might not feel like it at the moment.

WaterKing of Wands atop Five of Pentacles Rx – As mentioned above, remember that you are not losing, even if it feels like you are. You just have to go through a tub spot in order to come out on top on the other side. Negative narratives are not going to do you any good, and neither is listening to them instead of shutting them down when they try to tell you that you’re fucking up.

FireThe Hierophant Rx – Don’t follow the same old patterns and path this week when it comes to your obstacles. Think and act outside the box. Just because it isn’t your normal, doesn’t mean it won’t work.

WaningMountain and Tree – Your health will suffer if you can’t step away from your obstacles and let them run their course. Sometimes you’re just not in the right place to climb that mountain and need a little extra time before you take on the next hurdle.

The question is… What do I need to focus for self-care through the week ahead?

EarthFour of Swords – Stillness is your friend. As many readings over the past week have mentioned, don’t jump the gun concerning the things you’re worried about. Your answers lie within patience, and in adaptation when adaptation is needed and not a moment sooner.

AirDeath – You have an opportunity to prepare instead of being taken completely by surprise. Changes are common and it’s okay to think them through and strategize, as long as you aren’t jumping the gun on taking action, and that you remember that plans will never be perfect and always need tinkering with in the moment.

WaterSix of Pentacles – Be kind to yourself. Self-generosity is needed to keep you from falling into the habits of old defense mechanisms. Give yourself what you need instead of withholding it these things as a form of punishment or self-destructiveness.

FireJustice – You get what you give, and that includes in self-care. If you don’t put in the effort in this area and take it seriously, you won’t reap the needed rewards.

WaningBoy and Man – Don’t worry so much about being a “responsible adult” at the moment. You need a little time allowing your softness to flow freely and letting your inner child have some fun.

WaxingDog and Scythe – Stick to your guns with the silent treatment you’ve been giving your potential stalker. They -are- getting the message, even if a resurgence of their behaviors is eminent.  Keep your boundaries strong and don’t allow yourself to cross over into responding, no matter what bait is brought to bear.

Reading Note: I chose to leave the alternates for cards 28 and 29 in the deck due to them having such different connotations. Thus how I ended up with both 28 cards in the Waning position of this reading.

Take Away – The time to act is not now, no matter how much your anxieties try to push you into doing so. EarthPage of Pentacles – Adaptation is your friend. Remember that the ability to change and evolve creates stability even as it feels unstable. It’s okay to go slow to ensure good footing with each step. Just don’t stop.

AirThe Magician Rx – Take care in how much you actually listen to your inner narratives this week. Self destructive tendencies are on the rise, and those whispers are not the helpful advice that they appear to be.

WaterTwo of Swords – Action and movement will help in keeping your mental health in-check and your emotions in a healthy place. Don’t pause in stagnancy this week, but instead use movement and activity to help invigorate you and keep things fresh.

FireEight of Swords Rx – Make sure that you’re not giving up too easily. Confronting challenges instead of surrendering to them will get you further this week then just letting things go or writing them off.

WaningNephthys – Duck-and-cover time has come to an end. Even if you move slowly, it’s time to drag yourself out of the nest. Remember that stagnancy is not your friend, no matter how good it feels to wallow there sometimes.

WaxingSemed – Instead of staying home when you take a break, choose to go out and do something fun. Spend time in nature and celebrate life, rather than wallowing in cool safety with the walls of your home closed tight around you.
