The question is… What do I need to focus for self-care through the week ahead?

EarthQueen of Pentacles atop Page of Pentacles Rx – Remember that you’re not so much the novice as you feel that you are in this moment. It may feel like you’re starting over, but you have a lot of knowledge under your belt that you wouldn’t have if you were starting from scratch.

AirWheel of Fortune – Try to keep in mind that the ups and down of fate have nothing to do with you or your performance. Sometimes it’s just how things fall into place, and other times it’s creating a step forward that you need in order to make a different step later. This means that when shit goes awry, it’s not always your fault, nor has anything to do with you other than you are along for the ride.

WaterThe Devil – You’re emotions may drive you towards temptations and bad habits this week. Make sure that you’re keeping an eye on things so that you don’t fall into bad habits that could be harmful and cause problems later down the line.

FireKnight of Wands – Burn that torch bright. This week gives you an opportunity to act instead of sitting back on your laurels and waiting. Seize that opportunity when it presents itself, and run with it.

WaningTree and Ring – Veer away from making commitments that you can’t keep. That push to get in to see the doctor? The answer is “I’ll try”, not “I will”. Carry that forward into anything that has to do with putting down commitments that you may not be able to keep this week.

WaxingTower and Key – Focus instead on trying to spot incoming trouble before it can slip in and start causing problems.

Take Away – Finally!  Movement.  It might be a bit of a slip and slide situation, but movement is something there hasn’t been a lot of in the past month and here you see the ability to start moving again.  Get back in the saddle and start looking for opportunities to improve your situation. Just make sure you’re not committing to anything this week that you can’t later back out of.

EarthFive of Cups Rx – Don’t despair. You need to find a way out of the doom and gloom that you’ve been feeling. Although you’ve been fighting against it valiantly, it’s not quite hard enough. You’re not doing all of the stuff that you could be doing to “turn that frown upside down” and look at things in a more positive light. This is causing you to sink deeper into the dark that you really don’t want to spend time in. Your stability and sense of security is at risk if you don’t get a handle on this.

AirThree of Cups atop Six of Blades Rx – Lean into others and communicate what’s going on with you so that they can help you and lift your spirits. Stop retreating into yourself and hiding away, and connect with them instead. Communication is key, so reach out to those that you know are invested. You won’t drag them down. You need to do acknowledgement activities that empower you right now, and like the presence of others in your life can give you an emotional boost, looking at your accomplishments with admiration can do the same.  Just take a moment to look how far you’ve come and how much you’ve done.

FireFour of Swords Rx – Rest and recovery is only good for you if you are using it in healthy ways. If you are allowing it to be harmful or it’s hurting you in some unhealthy way, then it’s no longer an activity you should be indulging in. Don’t just accept blindly that something is good for you, but look a little closer and make sure.

WaningMan and Heart – Remember that it’s okay to be small when you need to, and he’ll adore it just as much as when you’re in your top space.

WaxingSun and Mice – Start looking more closely at the activities in your day. There is something corrosive going on, stealing at your happiness.  It’s time to start trying to suss out what these small poisonous bits are that are poisoning the well.

Take Away – Let go of the “I should” of top space and bottom space. It doesn’t matter.

Spending time with others can help in improving your mood and giving you a little boost, as can giving yourself a pat on the back for those things you’ve accomplished thus far in your life.

EarthSeven of Cups – “One situation improves another.” – Guidebook

Our situations in life are created by the building blocks we use to get there where we’re going. Each time you make a choice, it influences your life and all of the things in your life, as well as your trajectory forward into the future. Make sure this week that you are making choices that align with the direction you want to go in.

AirKnight of Cups – Sometimes it’s not enough to know which direction you want to go in. You actually have to take action to get there. Just make sure that those actions you choose are well thought out and strategic; not reactionary or rash.

Although stagnancy is not your friend, you need to make sure that you’re discussing your plans and ideas with others and getting their input before you move forward. EarthThree of Cups atop Page of Cups – Friends help with your emotional stability. Make sure that you’re leaning on them as you learn about your emotions and how to react. They are the ones who will understand where you’re coming from when you’re struggling, as well as provide the support and encouragement you need to keep going.

AirSeven of Pentacles – Don’t let your negative inner narratives tell you that you’re not doing enough, or are unworthy of good things. Those good things may take a while to come to you, or it may be that your eyes are closed and you’re not appreciating the ones that are already there, but you are absolutely worthy of them.

WaterSix of Pentacles Rx – Allow yourself to be greedy this week and depend on the generosity of others for them to understand that sometimes you just have to do it that way for your own emotional well-being. You just can’t put everyone else first all the time. It’s not emotionally healthy for you.
