hang low
as pleasure craft
are docked
to bob
unsteadily
upon frigid waters
filled with
anticipation
while they wait
for the
coming storm
with baited breath
and
dramamine

to carry
you home
with those
that you inspire

makes

as each step

into the forest
promises

for the senses

helps to cool

Fascinated
I stare as
trinkets emerge
and the world
is transformed
from the every day
into something
more
as lights twinkle
and glitter shines
with each box
we open
and memories
are unearthed
to remind us all
of  familial worth
