of rain
that kiss the skin
a world
washed clean
by showers
from above
and once more
the air smells crisp
with moisture
and the scents

with too much

autumn
with open arms

A desire to drift
quiet and still
as sweet silence
brushes senses
with not so much
as a whisper
and gentle currents
caress as they carry
lazy form
along
beneath blue sky
and sunshine
dappled by the shade

unfurl
from tight bud
to kiss the sky
exposing
vibrant color
to lure in
visitors
and as flowers sway
in summer breeze
they spread
joy
and celebration
to all

where frigid cold
slides over skin
in frigid embrace
that nips and bites
while I float
under blue skies
and currents turn
me in its grasp
as crisp fresh air
