Cool evenings
and balcony chairs
sweet scents
of brine on the air
chill with me
high above
and watch
the moon rise
and lights twinkle
below
the chair may creak
with both our weight
but I wouldn’t
trade this time
for anything
Belly first
on forest floor
lets look in close
and explore
all the nooks
and crannies offered
by damp wood
and feathered mosses
as the damp
soaks into clothes
there’s plenty to see
and many secrets
to unfold
The tides
slide in and out
with ships
and sails
as sunset
tinges horizon
in soft shades
and clouds
remind us
once more
just how small
we are in the
grand scheme
of it all
You and I
are so very
different
and yet
fit together
like puzzle pieces
each
supporting the other
where needed
so that every touch
each kiss
and every single
word
become a harmony
of magic
