Your Roots Anchor Others
Today’s meditation was ten minute long meditation based in breath work, using an ASMR recording done by Lee Felix of Stray Kids on loop. Apparently, he did a breath work meditation recording in 2022 posted on Bubble, and since I like his voice I thought I’d give it a go.

Daily Mental Health Prompt: Seek a positive message to carry with you throughout the day and offer perspective.
Today’s draw is the King of Pentacles (Conduit of Stability), which is traditionally a representation of a projective alpha energy, personality, or person in the area of one’s financial security, resources, health, home, labors, manifestations, and other elements of the physical realm. This often translates into leadership that creates a grounded sense of stability for others.
The King of Pentacles has then been combined with the one of @crowtarotmjcullinane‘s Crow Affirmations that says “Alliance: I am open to collaboration.”
“No one is the center of the universe, but you are the curator of your own existence. Your perspective is essential, your actions rooted in reflection.” – Deck Guidebook
Even in your moments of instability when you yourself feel unsteady, you are the stability that others’ roots tangle with and depend on. This is not through anything you personally are doing other than being yourself and living your life. It’s simply an integral part of your design and, as such, people are drawn to you and that stability that you radiate.
Today’s message is a reminder that others look up to you, and depend on you for cues on what to do and where to go and, at times, how to act. You are not alone, and when you need a bit of shoring up from others, they will be there for you as well.

@LightningWildflower September Tarot Challenge
Prompts for September 23rd through 30th
King of Cups
Where do I need to take a more diplomatic approach?
The Tower and Anger – “Bitterness is like cancer. It eats upon the host. But anger is like fire. It burns at all clean.” – Maya Angelou
Leave your emotions out of what’s going on right now with your business. You are feeling picked on, bullied, punished, treated unfairly, and powerless. These are all emotions you are feeling, not fact. Don’t let the narratives your emotions are selling make things even worse for you.
How can I respond to challenges in a calm and measured way?
Page of Cups and Fear – “I have learned over the years that when one’s mind is made up, this diminished his fear; knowing what must be done, does away with fear.” – Rosa Parks
Treat challenges as the learning experience is that they are. Understand that when changes come, it’s natural for fears to rise. This is a part of being human and having emotions. Just don’t let that fear rule you. Instead , take a deep breath and pause to sort out a plan before acting. This pause allows for emotions to calm a bit before acting, which allows you to avoid doing anything rash.
King of Swords
What decision requires clear thinking right now?
Page of Pentacles and North Pacific – Looking into new financial/business solutions is not going to provide you with any quick fixes. Instead, you need to cool down and take things slow with a level head head. Don’t get impatient. Move slowly, like the icebergs and glaciers.
How can I use my voice to advocate for justice?
Six of Cups and North Atlantic – Reminisce openly. “Whatever happened to…” or “I miss when…”
These phrases draw people out of their cool, emotionless shell of indifference and encourage community sharing. Sharing then brings to light current issues, and slips a whisper into people’s minds that perhaps they could be part of the change toward something better.
King of Pentacles
What legacy am I building, and how does it reflect my values?
Death and The Waker – You inspire others through example as you look inward and learn about the self, digging deep into self discovery and self healing rather than allowing yourself to use the world around you as a distraction.
What does success look like for me?
The Star and The Aspirant – Success looks like not actually arriving at the end of anything, but rather always having something to strive for, and the hope and optimism and needed to continue looking for answers even when things are difficult.
King of Wands
What vision for my future am I ready to commit to?
The Devil and Spring Equinox – You are ready to begin tackling some of your bad habits, and look at finding ways to refresh how you deal with stressors in healthier ways that renew rather than harm.
How can I channel my passion into a long-term impact?
The Moon and Meditation – Use your meditation practice to help guide your way through moments of uncertainty. You need that mindfulness and meditation in order to keep overreactions to a minimum and avoid letting the instability of uncertainty get to you.

Daily Mental Health Prompt: Seek a positive message to carry with you throughout the day and offer perspective.
Today’s draw is the King of Cups, which is traditionally a representation of a projective alpha energy, personality, or person in the area of one’s emotions, relationships, emotional intelligence, creativity, or intuition. This often translates into authority figures that are emotionally supportive and understanding, possessing both compassion and strong leadership qualities.
The King of Cups has then been combined with the (very apropos) affirmation by @thelatestkate, that says “It’s okay to accept that you’re unwell today.”
Why is today’s affirmation so appropriate for today? That would be because I feel like crap today. I’m not sure if it’s something I’m coming down with, allergies, dehydration, or some weird combination of two or more of these elements… but I feel like shit. Oh yeah. Lets not forget the current struggles with mood imbalance, as I’m sure that’s playing into it as well.
Just before pulling this card today, I was mentally beating myself for feeling like crap, and acting like I feel like crap. And here it is, the affirmation that says when you feel like crap it’s okay to accept that it is what it is.
Then, the King of Cup steps in and says that there may also be an emotional aspect to how I’m feeling as well, and adds encouragement to seeking out my emotional anchor to help me through. (That would be Gideon, by the way, and good luck with that as he’s on the road today.)
Ohhh look, negative narratives.
Today’s message is to go easy on yourself when you’re feeling rough around the edges. If you feel crappy? Stop beating yourself up about the things you’re not getting done and be kind to yourself instead. Seek out those people and things that can help make it just a little better instead of wallowing in misery alone.
I think I need a nap.

Prompt for September : Do Spread 3
What gifts from Summer are ready to be harvested?
Silver Lunar Dragon – The coming full moon offers the promise of softening and balance, if you’re willing to lean into the practices that allow you to find peace and harmony.
Where is your attention most needed between how and the upcoming last harvest of the year?
Thor’s Red Black and Gold Dragon – Focus on remaining calm and relaxed during these times of upheaval and transition. It feels like chaos, and you need to put a little more focus into being the calm in the storm.
What seeds need to be planted now to be ready in Spring?
Earth and Fire Dragon – Take care of yourself now, so that you will be prepared to take care of others later. Your cup is empty, your rope is frayed, and you’re burning the candle at both ends. You need time to recover and recuperate… restoration is needed.

#detarotjufseptembertarotchallenge
Prompt for September 30th : What lesson from the past month can I take away from the time I spent with myself?
Reading Summary: Positivity and optimism (The Star) need to be a priority you continue to work toward (Knight of Pentacles) as you stay firmly grounded in the present (Six of Cups Rx).
Take Away: There is value in the act of being in the present instead of trying to look forward and prepare, or look backward and examine. Both of those acts create stress and anxiety, and are “busy work” that doesn’t need to be in focus every moment of every day.
Instead, what needs to stay in focus is your efforts towards balancing your negative inner narratives and pessimism with a lean into positivity and optimism. A part of doing that is being present in the moment, and paying attention to those things that bring you joy while they’re happening.
Other elements included in this reading:
Dried Lavender Bundle for Calming and Comfort
Selenite for Purification and drawing in Positive Energy

I laid down and took a nap. I also wallowed in bed a bit after my early morning shift before going in for my afternoon shift.

❤️ Self Care Saturday (On a Sunday)
These Saturday readings are (not usually) bearing in on any one thing or event in my life, as the question used is asking for a more general outlook. This is a self care exercise, and is not meant as a predictive reading… although that, too, happens on occasion.
The question is… What do I need to focus for self-care through the week ahead?
Earth – Five of Cups Rx – Don’t despair. You need to find a way out of the doom and gloom that you’ve been feeling. Although you’ve been fighting against it valiantly, it’s not quite hard enough. You’re not doing all of the stuff that you could be doing to “turn that frown upside down” and look at things in a more positive light. This is causing you to sink deeper into the dark that you really don’t want to spend time in. Your stability and sense of security is at risk if you don’t get a handle on this.
Air – Three of Cups atop Six of Blades Rx – Lean into others and communicate what’s going on with you so that they can help you and lift your spirits. Stop retreating into yourself and hiding away, and connect with them instead. Communication is key, so reach out to those that you know are invested. You won’t drag them down. Instead, they’ll help lift you up.
Water – The World – instead of emotionally honing in on the negative, work on looking at the big picture. You need to do acknowledgement activities that empower you right now, and like the presence of others in your life can give you an emotional boost, looking at your accomplishments with admiration can do the same. Just take a moment to look how far you’ve come and how much you’ve done.
Fire – Four of Swords Rx – Rest and recovery is only good for you if you are using it in healthy ways. If you are allowing it to be harmful or it’s hurting you in some unhealthy way, then it’s no longer an activity you should be indulging in. Don’t just accept blindly that something is good for you, but look a little closer and make sure.
Waning – Man and Heart – Remember that it’s okay to be small when you need to, and he’ll adore it just as much as when you’re in your top space.
Waxing – Sun and Mice – Start looking more closely at the activities in your day. There is something corrosive going on, stealing at your happiness. It’s time to start trying to suss out what these small poisonous bits are that are poisoning the well.
Take Away – Let go of the “I should” of top space and bottom space. It doesn’t matter.
Spending time with others can help in improving your mood and giving you a little boost, as can giving yourself a pat on the back for those things you’ve accomplished thus far in your life.
Make sure you look a little closer at the things you do and how you are feeling, checking in will help you find what’s not helping, as well as what is.
