The Edge of Wonder Prompt for March 8th : Boundaries
Daily Mental Health Prompt: Seek a positive message to carry with you throughout the day and offer perspective.
Today’s draw is the Ace of Pentacles, which is traditionally a representation of the seed of new beginnings and new opportunities in the areas of one’s finances, resources, health, labors, manifestations, and the physical world.
Take care that you don’t add too many new things on your plate at once. Just because the opportunities are out there and ready, doesn’t mean that you have enough space on your plate to include them all.
I have a creative streak a mile wide and I love learning new skills. If I had the finances to do it? There is a damn good chance I would be taking courses on different arts, crafts, and techniques each semester. Not with a degree in mind… but just to learn new skills.
And chances are? I’d have so many projects on the go that I’d never finish anything at all. Just continue piling on more and more.
That’s where boundaries come in… and that’s what the message in today’s Ace of Pentacles and “Boundaries” prompt comes in as well. We all have a myriad of interests and ideas on what we want to do with our time, our energy, and our lives. We all have to set boundaries on how much we take on, too. Otherwise? We would never get anything done, instead just flitting from thing to thing like a butterfly flitting from flower to flower. The message for today is a reminder that these boundaries are important. Make sure what you want to take on is something you -can- take on right now before you commit. If it’s not? Set it aside for a better time when you can give it the attention it’s going to need.

Prompt for March 8th : Do Spread 2
Philosophical Question for March 4th : Is generosity an inherent virtue, or is it learned behavior?

Reading Summary: There is a very clear color connection between the Six of Pentacles, the High Priestess card, and the Anchor card. This connects these three together while leaving the King of Pentacles as an outlier, speaking of a need to connect with your inner knowing and your compassion, rather than allowing yourself to always focus on stability and stagnancy.
The deep blue that connects the High Priestess card to the Anchor card, combined with the circular design of the universe in the Anchor card and the moon behind the High Priestess connect this answer not just to what’s within ourselves, but the unknown that is beyond us.
Take Away: Generosity is being guided to create balance by unseen forces… but never forced.
The concept of being guided but not forced, and the inherent need the universe has for trying to create balance, are therefore the birthplace of generosity.
This makes generosity both an inherent virtue, and learned behavior, depending on the situation and the individual. This is because it’s not really about learning or about “being generous”, it’s about balance and the inherent need for balance in the world around us as well as the universe at large.

Venus conjunct Saturn Prompt for March 8th: What relationship or commitment needs maturity?
Reading Summary: You see change (Wheel of Fortune) as something to be avoided and braced for (Three of Swords), when in actuality it is an effort of the universe to find balance (Six of Pentacles). The maturity you need is to take things slow and allow them to develop instead of trying to control everything every step of the way (Knight of Pentacles).
Take Away: I was actually expecting these cards to come up with an actual relationship with a person. That’s clearly not the case, for what we see here is me being called out for being a control freak and trying force things to fit into the molds I want them to fit into instead of allowing them to find a natural balance.
I agree. This stubbornness is childish, and based in childhood fears. Especially knowing that changes are often not just something that is needed, but something that improves lives and situations as a whole.
These cards are a reminder that I need to stop fighting so hard for control, and allow the universe to find the balance it seeks.

This is a catch up post, and I’m not entirely sure what the self kindness was for this day.
