Crone Prompt for October 15th : Peace
Daily Mental Health Prompt: Seek a positive message to carry with you throughout the day and offer perspective.

Today’s draw is The Tower card (La Maison Dieu), which is traditionally a representation of sudden change, chaotic transformation, destruction, and the tearing down of something within one’s life or beliefs that leaves room for something new to take its place.

The Tower card has then been combined with an affirmation card from the Sinister Affirmations deck, which says, “The best revenge is living well-connected to powerful supernatural forces hell-bent on the destruction of your adversaries.”

Sometimes the vengeance you want or need has to be delivered by forces outside yourself.

Bad things can happen when we decide to take such endeavors as revenge into our own hands. Mishaps like in the picture, for example. Perhaps they pushed the first person off the window only to have someone they care about go diving after them. Or, just as possibly, we go too far due to our emotions, and then the debt to balance the scales is back on us and we must experience misfortune again as a result.

The message in today’s cards is a reminder that vengeance does not provide peace. It creates chaos, and much like sending a set of scales swinging, it can come back and punch you in the face.  On the other hand, if we wait and watch? We may find that that natural need for balance in the universe is going to deliver that blow of revenge for us, we just have to be patient and wait for it to happen naturally. No reason we can’t enjoy it when it does, though.

Reading Summary: Don’t allow yourself to become overly focused on protecting yourself right now (Ten of Clubs and Nine of Wands). The direction you’ve chosen (Three of Wands) is stable and well thought out (Queen of Diamonds atop Ace of Spades).

Take Away: You chose to let yourself go with the flow of things this season when it comes to your mediumship practice. That means allowing yourself to stay open instead of raising defenses at each new experience.

Stay on course, and ground yourself well. There’s potential here if you allow it to play out, and don’t let your feelings of uncertainty (and/or fear) interfere.
