Summer Sunlight Prompt for June 11 : Fun

Today’s draw is the Nine of Pentacles, which is traditionally a representation of solitary satisfaction, a job well done, self-sufficiency, abundance, financial independence, and luxury earned through hard work.

It’s okay to enjoy your rewards. You worked hard to get to where you are. There’s nothing wrong or shameful in enjoying it.

The suggestion in today’s card and prompt combo is that instead of furthering your self-inflicted perceptions of scarcity that push you to always do (and be) more, try to allow yourself to take that security and stability you’ve earned and have some fun with it.

What deeper truth is rising like a tide I can no longer hold back?

Octopus – Your weak boundaries can easily become a detriment to you. Stop ignoring the cracks in your boundaries. Instead of turning a blind eye, work with your therapist and Gideon to find ways to strengthen them that you are comfortable with and can accept.

What energy is quietly shaping the silhouette of who I’m becoming?

Spider – You are “the earner”. To balance this out you need to have more fun and introduce more playfully creative activities into your life. Steer the ship in the direction that you want it to go, because if you let it steer itself it’ll crash on the shoals. If you want to add more fun and joy into your life, you need to begin instilling that into your life today… not down the road when there’s more time or opportunity to do so.

What unseen current is beginning to turn the wheel forward?

Dragonfly – Pay attention to how often you are skipping your meditation practice. Work on giving yourself those few minutes each day just to breathe. You are gaining a better sense of balance and clarity through this practice. Keep it up.

🎨 Weekly Creativity Prompt – Different Scenarios

Prompt: “The purpose of this activity is to practice interpreting small spreads by combining card meanings, symbols and intuition. We will all interpret the same cards based on a few different (imaginary) situations. A 3 card spread will be posted together with 2 more specific scenarios. It’s your choice which scenario you’d prefer to use, or if you’d rather do a general reading of these cards as for an imaginary querent.”

Scenario 1 – Alba is moving to a new country, and wants to know how to make it go smoothly.

Moving is always difficult, because you are leaving things behind that you otherwise would hold on to. Keep in mind, though, that you are also leaving behind those things that are not working for you, and opening up an opportunity for better, healthier possibilities and opportunities to take their place.

Make sure as you begin to settle into your new home and country that you keep a firm grasp on what you want out of this move. It’s only through steering yourself in the direction you want to go in that you’ll find the success and abundance you seek.

Scenario 2 – Gray wants to figure out some advice for navigating their new job. They just got hired in a competitive field through a temp agency.

No one is going to give you what you want out of this experience. You’re going to have to reach out and grab it for yourself.

Make sure as you start on this new endeavor that you leave in your wake those past habits and tendencies that haven’t worked for you previously. They won’t work for you now, either.  By leaving them behind, you “till the soil” of your career and open up space for new growth and success to occur.  Just remember, this isn’t a gift. It’s something you’ll have to work at. Determination is what will get you through, so “tighten your bootstraps” and get going.
