Card of the Day Tarot Reading with the Satyr & Nymph Tarot and Sweet-Ass Affirmation CardsToday’s draw is the Nine of Cups with the affirmation “I am rich in happiness, fulfillment, and purpose! My bling is priceless.”

To be fair, I’m not sure about the whole “bling” part of the affirmation, but I definitely grasp the message in the cards.

That message is a reminder that it’s important to find satisfaction in the present rather than always putting it off for the future.

The cards for today ask us to look at our lives and seek out those things within our lives that make us happy. Whether these are little things or big ones, it’s in these things where we are able to find satisfaction in our lives, even during the hardest of times.

: What do you need to focus on for self-care for this month’s full moon?

Tarot Reading with the Far Out Tarot - Page of Swords, Knight of Pentacles, King of SwordsReading Summary: For this month’s full moon, take care to remember that you are still learning and don’t have all your ducks in a row (Page of Swords atop King of Swords). You have a long way to go yet (contrast between the Page of Swords atop King of Swords). Take things slowly (Knight of Pentacles).

Take Away: Although the mortgage thing has been settled, there is still a lot up in the air at the moment. Don’t let the uncertainty that you’re feeling concerning your business, your finances, or your stability keep you from continuing to move forward.  Just be open to learning as you go and take your time in getting there.

Other elements included in this reading:
Omarolluk for Protection and Bridging Liminal Divides
Ammonite for a Sense of Stability During Times of Change
Selenite for Purification and drawing in Positive Energy

Card of the Day Tarot Reading with the Winter Season Tarot and Sweet-Ass Affirmations 3 DeckToday’s draw is the King of Swords combined with the affirmation “I am the buzz within the bees. I am everything I need to be without trying.”

What if you didn’t push so hard and plot so strenuously?  What if you let things happen at their own pace instead of planning out each and every step along the way and steering every inch of progress forward?

How would it feel to feel like you’re enough? To feel like you didn’t have to brow beat and abuse yourself into some “better” more “worthy” version of who you are today?

Today’s cards pose these questions, and ask you to take some time to really think them over.  They encourage you to accept yourself as you are rather than as you could be or “should” be with a few more strategic tweaks.  Self acceptance is hard, but there’s no reason it can’t be done today, right now, instead of tomorrow or next week.

Silent Desolate Tarot - The World, Eight of Cups, Knight of WandsIn what moments in life do you find the most joy?

The World Rx atop Eight of Cups – Moments in life when you’re actually able to let go of something instead of riding it out til it’s end are some of your most joyous moments.

The thing is, sometimes your hope and faith in humanity makes you stick around in situations long after you know it’s time to throw in the towel. You’ve found that in those occasions you can actually say “fuck it” and let go, you’re happier and often appreciate that ending better than the “riding it out” approach.

How can you more openly embrace joy in your life?

Knight of Wands Rx – Don’t always charge in at the first sign of an interesting opportunity opening up for you. Hang back. Instead, spend your irresponsible moments in better ways that don’t require you to make more “room on your plate”.  Even the funnest of projects becomes nothing more than more responsibility when you dive in too quickly and end up having to juggle your time just to fit it into your schedule.

Other elements included in this reading:
Foraged Grand Fir Tips for Renewal and Emotional Uplift

Every Loss is a New Loss

Card of the Day Tarot Reading with the Ephemera Tarot and Sweet-Ass Affirmations 2 DeckToday’s draw is the Ace of Cups combined with the affirmation “Death is my homie. Death is divine.”

Grief is personal, and varies not just from person to person, but from experience to experience. Just because you have lost someone or something important to you in the past, does not mean that a new loss won’t feel brand new and completely different than the last one.

Because of this, we can’t expect ourselves to handle it any better the second time around, the third time around, or the 30th time around than we did the first.  Emotionally speaking, this is just not something that you get practiced at. When it comes to loss, it will be a new experience every single time.

Today’s cards are a reminder that when you are experiencing grief and loss, to cut yourself some slack and let yourself feel rather than trying to shove the feelings away or expecting yourself to already be practiced at this emotionally and be able to do it “well” or “better” then the last time.

I Tarocchi Dell'Alba DorataWhat is one of your most positive qualities?

Knight of Cups Rx – One of your most positive qualities is that it’s rare that you allow your emotions get the better of you, or allow yourself to dive head first into the fray spurred on by them.

How can you help this positive quality flourish in your life?

Eight of Pentacles – You are aware that you know yourself quite well, but that your emotions are not a part of that vast wealth of knowledge. You help this positive quality flourish in you life by actively working on how to better understand your emotions, and continue to develop skills concerning them. Keep up the good work.

What is one of your least positive qualities?

Ace of Pentacles Rx – One of your least positive qualities is that you are stubborn to a fault. When opportunities present themselves. Rather than diving into explore, your first tendency is often to balk and hold back. This trait causes you to hold things up instead of allowing them to progress as smoothly as they could.

How can you utilize this least positive quality to your benefit?

Eight of Cups – Remember that by holding back you are more able to step back and walk away from an opportunity when you realize that it’s not for you, rather than holding onto something that you need to let go of due to a false sense of commitment.

The @GlitterbyInk #FairyTales25 Challenge
Once Upon a Time Prompt for February 4 : Mystery

Today’s draw is the Knight of Wands beneath the Eight of Cups.

Curiosity may be what drives you more often than not, but keep in mind that you can’t chase every little thing that catches your interest.  “Picking your battles” applies to more than just the fights you decide to take on and which you don’t.  It’s also about making sure you are putting your energy into those things that will truly be fruitful or matter… and being realistic enough to let go of those that won’t be.

I struggle with this a lot, because I find so many creative projects and ideas to be interesting. There’s so many different things I want to learn how to do, and hone into a skill I do well. The problem?  Just how many spoons do I have to give?  Energy is a limited commodity, as is time.  Sometimes that enthusiasm to explore the new makes it hard to remember that it’s only by setting aside the stuff that’s least likely to fulfill you that you are able to put time and energy into the ideas that will.

Once Upon a Time Prompt for February 7 : Quest

Today’s draw is the Six of Swords atop the King of Coins.

Sometimes if you want stability, you have to make the chances necessary to help it come into fruition. Sitting on your ass doing nothing won’t help. Only movement will.  Only changing things up will create the shift that needs to happen to keep growth going and further the stability beneath your feet.

A lot of times when we find stability, we freeze within it an try to preserve it through stagnancy. The problem is that stagnancy actually creates cracks in that stable foundation we’ve managed to create, weakening it.  Instead, today’s cards are a reminder that we must go after what we want, even when what we want is sitting right in our lap.  It’s important to keep it healthy and strong through continued effort and a focus on healthy growth and moving in a direction that is right for you.

Once Upon a Time Prompt for February 8 : Spell

Today’s draw is the Eight of Pentacles atop the Tower card.

There are times when it doesn’t matter how hard you’ve worked or how skilled you are. Shit happens and what you have spent so much time and effort building falls anyway. This is because we get stuck, and the universe hates stagnancy.

Today’s cards are a reminder that these moments allow us to start over and do it better the second time around. This time, you have the skills under your belt to start over with some modicum of knowing what you’re doing. So you’re not really starting from scratch this time after all, are you?

White Winny Tarot's King of Pentacles and the Sweet-Ass Affirmation CardsThe @GlitterbyInk #FairyTales25 Challenge
Once Upon a Time Prompt for February 3 : Forest

Today’s draw is the King of Pentacles combined with the affirmation “Everything I desire is on its way to me at warp speed.”

Alright, so warp speed is not good for my anxiety, just sayin’.  It’s just not something I handle well.  And that’s part of the King of Pentacle’s make up as well.

The King of Pentacles is a type of stability that comes with slow growth. His foundation is stable and strong, built over hard work and time.

A lot of my readings so far over the past handful of days have encouraged standing back, waiting, and watching rather than acting. Here is a reiteration of that message.  If what I desire is coming at me at warp speed, that means I need to stop trying to run in that direction and let it come to me. Otherwise, someone’s going to get hurt.

I am struggling with that. A lot. These cards are a reminder as well as encouragement.  Stay still.  Wait. Not all progress is made through speed and force, or even under your control at all. So stop trying to control everything and let things develop at their own pace.

Tarot Reading with the Night Visions Tarot and From Roots to Blooms OracleWhere in your life are healthier boundaries needed?

The Hermit and Here’s That Sign you Asked For – As readings over the past few days have indicated, you have an opportunity at the moment to turn things around in a healthier direction in a number of areas in your life, and that includes when it comes to how you spend your alone time.  You’ve been trying to reform your alone time for a while now, and struggling with it.  Now is the time.

How can you begin to establish better boundaries in that area?

Seven of Cups Rx atop Queen of Swords; If It’s Out of Your Hands Don’t Keep It In Your Head – Don’t make any major decisions right now, just keep your mouth shut and observe. You are not currently in control and you don’t need to be. This means don’t work yourself to death trying to fix things that aren’t broken. Alone time is not meant to be a time to abuse yourself by pushing yourself too hard while others can’t see, but rather to rest, recuperate, and enjoy.

FebruaryTwo of Swords atop The Moon Rx; Occupancy

Do not allow uncertainty entry when it’s time to make decisions this month. There’s no room for more right now. Not for more things, not for more people, nor for more responsibility. Reject all suitors and stay the course instead with a “no entry” sign firmly in place.

MarchSix of Cups; Reboot

When you take your computer in this month to have its issues dealt with, don’t hold back on optional changes and repairs that need to be done. Go with the most radical option rather than waffling over the choices offered or cheaping out due to concerns over cost or expediency.

AprilThe Hierophant Rx; Impatience

When your impatience is triggered, it’s time to start looking outside the box for answers. Tried and true methods are all well and good, but sometimes creative thinking and innovation is needed instead in order to make any progress.
