Mibramig Magical Tarot - Queen of SwordsQueen of Swords – I have my mother’s eyes.

That is not to say that they are the same shape and color, or that you are cold and calculating, but rather that you have a skill towards discernment.

You know what you want, and you know what is good for you.  You know what works, what path to take, and what to say to help others along their path as well.

Discernment means the ability to judge well, whether that is the people around you, the path you follow, or the activities you participate in along the way. It means that you don’t have to doubt yourself so much, because you know what’s right for you and choose well when needing to.

You may not be as cut throat or self serving, you may not view people as people on the chessboard of life, waiting to be moved by your words and actions.  But, when it comes to knowing your choices and the best choice forward for you?  You are unerringly your mother’s son.

Mibramig Magical Tarot - Three of Cups, Two of Wands, The Moon, The Hanged ManTell a Lie Day – What lie have you told that it is time to reveal?

Three of Cups atop Two of Wands – There have been times in the past when I have used my social connections for my own personal agenda instead of simply enjoying them as the guileless friendships that they appear to be.

Although society is a whole has a habit of seeing this as a type of reprehensible behavior, I have not personally seen anything wrong with it in the instances where I have used it, but I’ve kept it quiet because I know other people would.

Go for Broke Day – How can you best go about revealing the truth?

The Moon and The Hanged Man – Instead of assuming the worst of people and sinking into the uncertainty of whether or not they will accept what has been done, it would be a good idea to discuss with them the situation and get their perspective, as well as allow them to see yours.

New Choice Tarot de Marseille - Five of CupsFive of Cups – I create my own opportunity for improvement.

Pessimistic thinking is a habit in your life that has been deeply ingrained. Seeing and anticipating the worst comes naturally for so long now that it’s all you remember, and it’s only through awareness and effort that another healthier perspective can take root.

The more you work to instill positivity and optimism into your life, the more it will take root. But, like throwing a snowball at a wall, with each effort, only a tiny bit will stick. You have to keep trying in order to get enough to stick that it begins making a true difference in the wall’s topography.

Queen of Swords atop Four of Wands – It’s time to consider letting your personal “Queen of Swords” back into your inner circle instead of continuing to freeze her out.

Gideon has been mentioning this for a while but you have been very resistant. Lately you’ve been taking the first steps through going out to dinner and and allowing some surface contact. Keep going in this direction. It’s time to resolve these issues and welcome her back “home”.

What patterns or attachments do I need to try and release during this retrograde?

Everybody's Tarot - Eight of PentaclesEight of Pentacles – I love my work.

Remember to take the time to put attention towards enjoying your craft. It’s not all about duty and responsibility, but also about the joy of creation. It’s important to not lose sight of that, especially when things are feeling stressful.

You started your business and honing this craft because it was something you really enjoyed.  You loved making beautiful things that people then used in their own lives to make them feel beautiful.

Don’t lose sight of this joy and passion in your work just because you are making money at it and that adds a touch of responsibility to the work that wasn’t always there.

Question for April 3rd: What hidden insights should I pay attention to during this month of musing?

Loputyn OracleDeath of the Ego – Where is pride blinding you to a broader viewpoint? Step back and examine your reactions more closely, and seek to step aside from those that are over the top to gain some needed perspective. When you react negatively and intensely, it is a sign there’s something triggering you that needs examining more closely.

Lucid Dream – You’ve had a lot of dreams lately where you keep trying to return to them when you should be trying to wake up.  Pay attention to your dreams and make sure you are writing them down. There’s something in there that is the reason you keep returning to them instead of rising, but you are missing it again and again because you’re not writing down what you’re dreaming before you forget it.

Fusion – In order to connect with others more fully, you need to let down your guard. Take time to examine what is holding you back, and if any of those fears or defenses are outdated or superfluous. Safety is important, but over-vigilance makes for a very solitary existence.

Everybody's Tarot - Six of Wands, King of Cups, King of Swords

Once upon a time there was an energy/entity that was vast and strong and filled with the interests of only pleasing itself (Six of Wands Rx).

There were no others to please other than the self, and thus they saw everything through a lens of logic as they went about their existence (King of Swords).

One day, emotion then entered the picture, and with it creation began. The energy/entity began using this emotion to begin guiding their energy in new ways and creating new things…. and thus the universe was born. (King of Cups)

The Slow Tarot - Page of WandsSlow Tarot – The kid in this imagery looks so happy and so proud of all that he’s learning and experiencing on this camping trip of his. He’s set up a tent, lit a fire, and stands tall with a big smile on his face. This card is a reminder that we need to take pride in our adventurous spirit, new experiences, and accomplishments… even the beginner ones. Maybe… especially the beginner ones.

Page of Wands - Hong Kong Tarot, Anima Mundi Tarot, Tarot of the Hidden Realm

Hong Kong Tarot – Leaving the house vulnerable and unprepared while thinking you actually are?  This is a serious novice move. Yes, some time outside would be wonderful, but honestly? Umbrella in hand or not, clothes are important. Sometimes, we don’t learn these things until we try them and realize it, though. Remember to look for the better way in the things you experiment with. One’s first try is wrought with pitfalls, large and small.  Pay attention to them, and you’ll learn all the ins and outs.

Anima Mundi Tarot – The salamander is associated with the Wands (fire) suit because, at least according to legend, the salamander can pass through fire without getting hurt. Through this association, they represent a theme of resilience through conflict. In this card, though, the salamander is colorless. There are no reds and oranges of flame as would normally be seen in such a depiction on a Wands card. I would read this to mean that there is a lack of reaching for one’s potential.  A stagnancy that one needs to break free of in order to breathe “life” into their situation.

Tarot of the Hidden Realm – Pure joy.  That is what I see in the expression on this boy’s face, and in the spark of color that fills this card’s imagery. I would read this card as an encouragement towards enthusiasm and going after those things that make you feel excited and inspired.  Reject those things you don’t enjoy and dive into the ones you do.

There is no need to feel guilty about it… it’s a need that everyone has, yourself included.

Work is hard… living is hard.  Rest is what is needed to help you make it through. Recuperation is needed to keep you strong and on your feet.

Let go of the shame. You’re not lazy.

You’re human.
Give yourself the rest that you need.
