Necessary Conflict

Today’s meditation was skipped.

Anything is possible if you are willing to fight for it. When you avoid conflict, you concede your power to another… whether that “another” is a person, thing, or general situation.

Today’s cards are a reminder that conflict is a necessary part of life.  Sometimes it’s uncomfortable and other times it’s terrifying, but it’s necessary. Don’t allow yourself to be beaten down when to yield means letting go of what’s important… instead, be clever and think outside the box, do what needs to be done, and come out on top.

: What am I asked to confront as part of embracing the unknown?

Embracing Shadow & Light Oracle, Katrin Blackwater Tarot Ace of CupsReading Summary: New emotions are often hard for you to deal with (Ace of Cups). Make sure that you aren’t falling into old habits of shoving them into the dark and burying them (Extinction), but are instead listening to the messages that your emotions are there to convey (Messenger).

Take Away: Burying your emotions just because they are unfamiliar and possibly scary, uncomfortable or painful, does a disservice to the intuition that guides you and the guides that are trying to speak to you. When you muffle your emotions, you muffle the full scope of your intuition and receptivity.

: What is something that you miss that you can bring back into your life?

Jumbledance Tarot - Temperance, Five of Wands, Six of DisksReading Summary: Take a more slow and measured pace (Temperance) to the rat race (Five of Wands). Work on being kind and generous to yourself instead (Six of Disks).

Take Away: It’s okay to take things at a slower pace and cut yourself a break. You don’t have to do everything right this instant.

Make lists so you don’t forget the ideas you have and things that you want to do, and take things at a slower pace instead of trying to fit it all in at once while each thing vies for priority.

Daily Self Kindness

I’ve started setting up my phone alarm system to remind me to eat at certain intervals again. At Ms B’s, this isn’t a problem as she reminds me to eat (and brings me food) often.  Now that I’m back at home, I’m having trouble sticking to a schedule without those reminders.
