The Walk

Lets walk together
through the park
no longer dark
and dangerous
but lit in holiday lights
and the warm glow
of a fading autumn
and watch
hand in hand
as leaves
flitter and fall
in the bright shimmer
that pretends
winter is here
while autumn still fades
